Mr. Fruit Gaming Channel If the Horseman had the stats it does now when the Dark Below 1st released...pre-1.1.1. before the special ammo changes...no doubt people would be boycotting the weapon as being the new Mytho is it's beastliness. But as it's stands it's a tamed savage. Granted you have to literally put the barrels on your target, when you do...it dies...period. It's a fun gun to use, not doubt about it. Especially on smaller maps like Anomaly or Burning Shrine. The ammo balancing made it a fair gun, since it's key drawback is how fast you chew through ammo. Couple that with there being less ammo now, and it's not that bad. But pre-1.1.1., when you could burn all of your ammo, run around the corner, grab more and come back for more? That would've been a fuckin' mess. 1.1.1. save it from being perma-nerfed...lol.

This vex mythoclast wrecks people in pvp, easily the best weapon in the game ( for pvp ) and it can outgun the thorn and last word if you get your shots on target (which is really easy to do now after the patch, its like a headshot machine)

The Vex Mythoclast was revealed to be upgradable to the light level 34 365 dmg stats along with any other legendary and exotic gear. Very happy with how they're treating the new upgrade system.

DattoDoesDestiny Gothalion upgraded his mythoclast live on the reveal stream, so yes, You can upgrade your mythoclast to the new attack level cap. Just not the Necrochasm. I assume that you will be able to uprgade that when the next expansion or the comet DLC comes out.

Found Verdict and Felwinters are still better. On a different note, SO glad Mythoclast got a buff in 1.1.2, as it was basically my go to PvP weapon. If you ran it with Send It it didn't compromise the ammo capacity too much and pushed it's effectiveness at range slightly further. However the Mythoclast getting nerfed did lead me to try out other weapons in the Crucible which lead me to discover two of my favourite weapons; Thorn and MIDA Multi-Tool. Can't wait til' the weekend so I can give the Mytho a shot in the Iron Banner.

***** Why not? It's an excellent weapon that caters well to my reserved, mid-range playstyle. Thorn is very good, one of the top-tier PvP weapons, but I've outplayed Thorn users with my Chance (Outlaw, Field Scout, Luck in the Chamber), and even the Abyss Defiant before, and I wouldn't even consider myself an avid PvPer. I personally would prefer using Red Death now it's been buffed over the Thorn.

And the same few guns being used for competitive play is nothing new really. In BF3 every competitive player ran the M16A3 or the AEK, and in BF4 every competitive player ran the AEK or the ACE 23. In regular Crucible they have less of an excuse though, sure.

Its been pretty confirmed that all raid gear (armor and weapons) for both VOG and Crota will be upgraded to the new 34 light level and 365 damage, respectively. So, following that logic, the exotic weapon for both of the raids (Mythoclast and Necro-trash) will probably be available for upgrade as well.

Bungee mentioned in the 1.1.1 patch notes that the vex was unintentionally affected by the fusion rifle nerf due to it technically being a fusion rifle, then they went on to say that they'd fix it in a future update. Not a stealth fix at all :)

You probably don't remember me, SpatanZ11, and Faffe17 from a rumble game this Friday night. You used Vex Mythoclast and destroyed all of us. I got Mythoclast from a checkpoint at Atheon HM on Saturday. Leveled it in less than a day. Haven't lost a rumble game ever since.

I think 4th Horseman has a niche for aggressive players that Felwinter's Lie just doesn't - the ability to kill an enemy in spite of just about any combination of defensive bonuses. It's not a guarantee, but it is a niche.

Shotgun-wise, I prefer either of the Raid ones. Good range and impact. The Mythoclast, it may do a fair bit of damage, with recoil that goes straight up, it always seems to shoot an outline around people with my bad luck...

I use the Last Word a lot in PvP. I've gotta really good at using it. I mix it up sometimes with the Hawkmoon and Thorn but haven't used the Vex in awhile. After watching this video I think I might start using the Vex a little bit again. I use to crush with the vex in iron banner. This past weekend I played PvP for a while and for the first time every got 2 place out of my team with 22 kills and a 3.12 K/D ratio. I usually get 8-15 kills and rarely got a 1.0 K/D ratio. I don't really know what has change but every game I had a K/D ratio of 1.0 or higher. Mainly I've been using the Last Word, P. Revenge and corrective measure but sometimes switch to Light Beyond Nemesis cause it has a tight cone than other fusion rifles. I'm not very good with shotguns still but sometimes I'll use swordbreaker cause it fires pretty fast

Madd Hatter Then there's me, using TLW in PvE, and doing surprisingly well with it. I recently started a Hunter, got some Gear for it, including Don't Touch Me and Lucky Raspberry (I had Mask of the Third Man, but appear to have... Misplaced it, before the 1.1.2 Patch. -.-). I now know that Hunters, specifically Gunslingers, are extremely goddamn fun to use. In PvE, I tend to spec into Chain of Woe/Gunslinger's Trance, because both of those bonuses benefit TLW EXTREMELY. Plus, I feel like an absolute badass, if I manage to throw a Knife, land a crit, then spin around, swap to TLW and score a Headshot (even better if it's from the hip). I also haven't picked up my Vex(es) in a while, I may as well give them a try, I guess.

4th horseman will let you solo any "single" target shy of crota or vog. You empty the mag, reload 1 round as you step forward and as long as you time it you can essentially "stun lock" most enemies, pair it with a defender who has the saint 14 helm and you have a boss killer for those who won't be staggered.

trust me it IS the new Ghorn. Was the easiest foe to test Damage on? I came up with Gorgons and tried my Ghorn on one of them 7 rockets too 30% of its health while ONE F-ing Magazine of the 4th Horseman took 25% of its Health, two mags take 50% away.

The DPS on it is crazy high due to the buffed RoF. On more console, I saw those guys trashing Draksis in 10 shells or so. If you can get up close without getting stomped, the Horseman can do Gjallahorn level damage, sometimes even more.

ok how about every time you do a full reload (which you do a lot) there's a chance you can have a PowerMag which did like 1.5x damage and was indicated a symbol similar to others in the game (the triangle with a circle in it) on the left of your screen? people couldnt abuse the perk in PvP because you'd have to waste a whole mag and have a CHANCE to have it prock. plus ammo is so scarce you'd have to be an idiot to try. plus when you reload the mag and it isnt full, you lose the damage buff.

Brought The Fourth Horseman into Skolas's Revenge. Was extremely effective at annihilating Reaver Captains and small groups of Stealth Vandals charging the group. Saved us so many times. I'd say use the initial ballistics option with the Reload Speed perk. From my experience, it's a top tier PvE special weapon. PvP not so much.

Para LP First four shots are from one barrel each and the last one (the one with final round) fires from all four at once. At least that's the logic I've seen pretty commonly. ;)

You need to constantly search for ammo to have somewhat frequent use - Datto I think that's how secondaries should work in general. You shouldn't be able to walk around with a shotgun all match long when most of the maps in the game are small. You should have special ammo and use it for its niche, and for this, the fourth horseman works extremely well. When people get close the fourth horseman literally obliterates them, and no weapon asides from heavy or other shotguns can even touch it in kill potential. Shotguns should be very close range (like the fourth horseman but a bit more range, especially for the slow RoF ones) in a game where gap closers like blink even exist. There's a reason they've constantly nerfed secondaries and special ammo. Better defined niches for specials would more greatly define niches for guardian classes. PVP on other than the highest level of play, is all about what gun and how good a person's reaction is, tbh. TLDR - all shotguns should work like the fourth horseman will slightly larger ranges for slow RoF shotguns
