@@JobVanDam I don't know if it's lack of people who could've make a stronger showing. I think it's more that many leftie KZbinrs won't get on a stage with Alex Jones at all. I'm not saying I agree with that ethic, but I know a lot of folks, like David Pakman or Mehdi Hassan have expressly said they just won't do it. They don't think Jones gives anyone (even people on his side) any room to make cogent uninterrupted points, and so the whole thing collapses into spectacle. And I think that's probably true. 3:18:03 To the contrary, a waste of 3 hours. Alex Jones has zero credibility. Nothing was accomplished here. Instead of debating whether Jan 6 is a coup, just assert that Trump's actions on and around Jan 6 were unprecedented and an obvious disqualification. They won't agree, and that's why these conversations are pointless because something as obvious as that will never be conceded by the propagandists on the right.

I was trying to figure out why any of the other 5 participants who seemed to be pretty serious debaters, would agree to be on a panel where Alex Jones was also one of the panelists. The only thing I could think of was the ones against him (Destiny, et al.) figured he would be so obnoxious and self destructive that he would single handedly deliver the victory to their side and the ones on his side (Greenwald, et al) figured he would be able to obfuscate so loudly that the reason and logic of the other side would be lost in Jones' clownish cacophony. Otherwise I have no clue because his presence makes serious debate impossible.

I don't think the moderator isn't capable per se, I think it's mostly more that he _can't_ tell Alex to stfu and force a an answer out of him. If he does that, he signals to the grifters, liers and scammers that are targeting republicans for profit that this isn't a safe platform to grift on. It won't just be Alex Jones that won't come on again, it'll be all of them. It takes all about 2 braincells to tell Alex to answer the question or stfu and move on if he doesn't wanna, the _'difficult'_ part is balancing the pushback you give to the grifters.

He's talking to Alex Jones, he does that even in a peaceful conversation. Anyway, let me give you guys a perspective from outside Steven's bubble. See, his argument is basically faith-based (weird for an atheist), It only works if you have a fiery, fanatical and almost religious belief that the election was run with 100% honesty, that Democrats always play fair and would never break the toys just because they can't have It, and that the agencies are just misunderstood and would never operate against the american people. If you have any, and mean ANY doubts about that cursed election, which according to pools is more/around than 60% of the nation today (even some Dems believe something happened, I assume they just don't care because their guy took the prize), If you don't religiously believe Trump is Satan himself and always assume the worst possible intentions for his every action, If you pass his "red line" for one second, the whole thing comes appart. In other words, he's not debating the issue, he is just grandstanding for his public who already bought into his entire narrative.

I'm not here to say anything bad about him but I'll be damned if we don't address him having a girl's name. Also, I was worried about Alex turning this into a shit show, but luckily he did.

I think a lot of his beliefs on this are inaccurate. Saying that the history of the intelligence agencies doesn’t matter us ridiculously naive.

Alex made this unbearable. When I saw that the Krassenstein brothers were Destiny's partners, I was worried but they weren't cringe like they are on Twitter/X. They did pretty well. The best part of the debate was when Alex went to piss. It was so quiet and not as stupid.

Alex was insufferable, but the brothers lost me when they said that burning courthouses didn't count as obstruction because they did that at night-time

@MrGgabber That's a good question though. Were they attempting to obstruct judicial business while none was going on? Can they be charged with obstruction for that? It is more true that they prevented business from being conducted outside of the time that they burned the courts.
