I have one of those dethatching blades you attach to your mower. It's $10 and more affordable than $130. I got the Maxpower. It's slightly more destructive (to the grass as you would expect, a lawnmower motor is faster), but was great for my renovation, and the regular section lawn recovered in like a week. Just a thought. I know a lot of people seem to dislike them, but you gotta have the right setting on your lawnmower too. Also not really made for electric mowers.
