How do I determine the height if I’ve replaced the valve cover and don’t have the sticker?

Questions on the jacob jakes, removed head and replaced head gasket (95 model series 60) reinstalled and performed valve lash. Went to check jacob jake 765 and with slave screw backed all the way out still cant get feeler gauge inside. Any thoughts?

Verify the camshaft. Not all of the BK engines are 82.1. You set the injector height to the camshaft.

You should verify the head and valves on the engine to set the exhaust valves, the valve cover may not be correct or original.

I thought i was the only 1 smart enough to use a digital caliper for that. But I didn't know about not putting in the hole. Never could find instructions. So.i just ordered the tool instead
