My takeaways from this video: 1. To learn new tools - Find out what problem it solves. 2. You need some prior experience for a career in DevOps. It doesnt necessarily have to be prior work ex but we need an understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC) and what needs to be automated 3. Different companies have different requirements for DevOps engineers 4. Try to understand the process and tools before looking through the codebase in a new company 5. Take initiative, ask questions when in a new role/company 6. How to progress in this field? Continuous learning and explore tech 7. Mistakes to avoid? Get hands on with the tools/tech asap instead of only going through documentation 8. Mistakes to avoid? Push your comfort zone 9. Try and take on additional new responsibilities in the project as it helps in learning and expands your portfolio of knowledge.
