Its a good start and will last you a good while. if you stick to the same brand you can add bare tools later and save on the battery / charger cost.

@grumpywoodwork that's the plan! I've picked up a bare dewalt circular saw which runs fine off the 2 amp batteries for now. There'll be more soon, I think. Maybe a sander. As for the machines, I have to go budget for now.

Brushless just means there are no carbon brushes on the armature it's just a ring of magnets. Apparently, it makes the motor faster and lasts longer

That makes me think I should have gone for the brushless circular saw. 🤦‍♂️ Haha! Although I don't think I'll be using it a great deal, so it should last a long time. Thank you for the info! 🙏
