Am I the only one who doesn't understand how the kids were the bad ones here? Kendall is trying out for the basketball team and Tyler is trying to raise his grades. Admittedly, Kendall shouldn't have been bouncing the ball off the apartment wall, but how is Tyler bad for using his uncle's laptop to research for a history assignment? If he had a laptop of his own he probably would be using that but he seemingly does not. The uncle to me is the BAD one he is a thirty-something struggling musician with commitment and responsibility issues. He repeatedly has been promising to propose to Molly after his music career takes off, they've been dating for over a decade, and still no ring. Then he goes from job to job because everything is beneath him. Then after his brother and sister-in-law die he almost immediately wants to send his orphaned niece and nephew to foster care because putting in work to be a good parent is apparently also beneath him. He struggles over his laptop with his nephew who was doing schoolwork with it and pretty much tells Tyler to just fail school. It falls, seemingly breaks (he never thought to create a backup for his demo) and he decides to send them to FOSTER CARE. His gf fixes his laptop and rightfully calls him out for abandoning the kids who had their lives shattered and ditching everything else. She dumps him and he doesn't get a wake-up call until the record producer rejects his music. How on earth are the kids the bad ones here?

"I have to grow up and if you want to grow, you have to take responsibility." Very true and important! Everyone has been born only once and as they grow, they have to learn about experience and responsibility by expressing success and failures when they were children so they can grow up as successful adults. One more thing that is related to this video: sometimes in life, horrible and unexpected things happen such as parents' unexpected passings. Once any other relative(s) become guardians of certain children whose parents had passed, you have to commit and honor that position; treat them like your own children because if you don't, you may have lost everything and you'll be left with nothing.
@jx__xj6308 Жыл бұрын
The responsible thing to do would be to reject conformity, follow your true purpose and try to grow spiritually. Which is basically the opposite of the video's message. Being a warehouse manager for some presumably shithouse company is apparently more important than folllowing your dreams and doing what you know is best for your soul. This video reeks of corporate conformist culture.

Best video yet by far. No question. I went from thinking Jake was literally the most despicable villain in all these videos to feeling for him and admiring him. Sad that Ashley died, and so early on in the story :( but great video with a great message

He's not a villian he never wanted kids and his dickhead brother put him as their godfather without telling him had he talked with his brother if he could be their godfather or not 1 the chance of them being neglected would be lower and 2 he could consent to it again not saying he was on the right for being mean to his dead brothers kids just saying had he said no if he was asked the kids well being would be better.

If I ever have kids I'm NOT gonna whoop them or spank them because that is still violence. I'm not gonna send them to foster care because that's very neglectful. 🤦🏽♀️

Some people cant take care of children. He obviously couldn’t, that is a form of neglect.

I relate to Jake on a personal level. He isn't ready for that sort of responsibility, which is understandable. The kid broke his laptop, which is his property, not the kid's. Therefore, he had every right to be mad at him. Jake is the best part of this video. He isn't evil.
