Yes, the moment you've all been waiting for! Fascinating in real time, but more even memorizing in time-lapse. Amazed at the speed at which this crew worked, great job! Less than 6 hours before the first train runs....

It was like the 5th! What was odd (to me, someone who knows nothing) is that all the meticulous measurement was being done on the far track and it was almost as if they'd done nothing on the near track ... which was where those other four trains went by!

@makeamericagreatagain73145 жыл бұрын
Chef Javier Depending on train traffic and tonnage.
@PainesvilleRailfans5 жыл бұрын
Chef Javier its also a "flange bearing" diamond; means that the wheels ride on the flanges though the diamond when passing, giving it a longer lifespan.
@michaelmccarthy46155 жыл бұрын
I imagine a flange bearing diamond sounds different when a train rolls over it?
@PainesvilleRailfans5 жыл бұрын
It does. Its a quiet diamond where you dont hear the poundings. Greenwich ohio was replaced last year with a flange bearing diamond and its quiet. Over time the wheels will wear through the groove and you will start to hear the poundings starting to sound after a year or two.
