I started my HAED awhile ago and it is definitely a project. I have another one that is massive - 160 x 190.. I should have split mine into 4 sections also. I hate those little packets of drills too. That’s why I went with a company on AliExpress that has resin drills that are prekitted up into plastic baggies. I also bought a 10” Android tablet for Pattern Keeper. The bigger the tablet/screen the better. You really need to zoom in on the pattern itself in order to see all the symbols. But I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it in no time. Good luck!!

My goodness Katie, you blow my mind! With two young children who need extra attention and a husband who is occasionally away for his work, I find it amazing that you are going to embark on this epic journey. You complete projects in an incredibly short time even with all of your responsibilities but this one isn’t just a matter of following the normal marked adhesive, you have to work on this blank canvas and THINK, THINK. THINK every step of the journey. Even with your new Fire, I feel as if this will be total mental overload! I would not be able to tackle something like this. My hat goes off to you. Good luck!

Wauw thats some massive project😱 but a stunning one. I hate those small packages for the diamonds ( the number can rub off 🤦♀️) yes all that plastic . Looking forward to to follow your process. Wishing you succes🥰🥰🥰🥰
@donnaflores83562 жыл бұрын
I didn't see your actual canvas, but if the grid lines aren't a bit darker on every tenth line, draw those lines in with a sharpie. Also, because I do an entire page at a time as one section, I write the line numbers for every tenth grid right on the canvas. I did one HAED using paper, but Pattern Keeper had come out by the time I started my second and "WOW!" what a game changer. I was a beta tester for PK and it saves so much time and needless errors.

Lissette had a good point on her channel. She said when she had popping drills there is no symbol behind them so it is a bit tedious to try and find the color needed. I think I would just wing it and put a suitable color in place.

Wow! What a project. I cross stitch and diamond paint but I've never done a blank canvas. I do recommend marking your canvas sides and top/bottom so you aren't spending time flipping every which way. @@DiamondsandWashi Sorry I just saw this! I'm doing Moet & Chandon: Champagne White Star. I purchased a high res image, got overwhelmed by the prospect of a cross stitch conversion, subsequently had a custom printed canvas done by an Ali Express store. The rendering did not turn out in a way that I like (which I only discovered when it came) so now its back to the cross stitch conversion! I've ordered a blank canvas and drills with Smiths Beads here in the UK. 55x135cm. Eeek! It should arrive in time for me to start Summer with the Masters this year! I really can't wait :)

Why double-sided adhesive? Do blank canvases not come in poured glue? I will love to watch your progress but I think I will need a lot more experience diamond painting before I try something like that!
@DiamondsandWashi2 жыл бұрын
Hi Betsy! Blank canvases DO come in poured glue, but at the time that I was purchasing, it was much harder to find blank canvases with pourer glue. It was also more convenient (for me, at the time) to source the canvases and drills from the same shop, especially one like Cooper Diamonds that did all of the math for me. And they currently only offer double-sided adhesive.
