DIANE LANE... what a truly wonderful actor! She has the full package... charisma, star power, talent, beauty, intelligence, and class. She is underrated I feel. She is fabulous as Slim Keith and should be Emmy and Golden Globe nominated. I hope she gets more work off the back of this great performance in 'FEUD'! :)

I rewatched a t.v. movie from the 90s she was in "The Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All" and she played a 14 year old, when she obviously was an adult. She was absolutely great!

She SHOULD have won in 2003 but lost to Nicole Kidman. I think Selma Hayek was better that year too, for her role in Frida. Nicole Kidman should not have won that year.

Freud both overplays and underplays pathology. Truman Capote was just a textbook narcissist. Not in the colloquial sense but in the clinical sense. Superficial charm, attention seeking, low empathy, manipulative, persecution complex, need to be adored by the class he considered superior etc. He befriended the women for the status and then grew so big he thought he could finally display his superiority complex and survive in their circles.
