You said it perfectly. I also cannot relate to the pure T1 style the way they show it., just so silly and childish. It actually makes me feel too “fly away” and I need to be a more grounded. I am glad to have the knowledge and use it often but find I like to incorporate the T4 a bit more than the program might suggest. I like to have more bold contrast, color blocking, and kept my black pants (although I haven’t worn a black sweater since took the program.)

In recent weeks I’ve had a real mindset change with decluttering and have donated so many clothes and items in my home. When you said you’ve been “finding yourself,” that hit home with me. I don’t know if I can express this correctly, but I am finally coming out from my mother’s shadow. I lost her three years ago and loved her a lot, but in some ways she was suffocating me. I’m an only child. I’m rediscovering “me.” I’m going to take a new look at Dressing Your Truth. I believe I’m a type 4 but I don’t know my secondary type. You look wonderful! Late to the party, but Diane, you look so very alive and happy in your after! It is infectious. I'm a 4/2 and I absolutely NEED your light bright energy! Especially for house cleaning and organizing, in which I can get far too heavy and structured for my own good (and the good of everyone else in the house). Your wardrobe is inspiring! I found your channel through DYT. I'm a type 2/3. After discovering my type, shopping for clothes became so much easier for me. I always struggled finding clothes, as I wasn't confident with what suited me. Now I know and love my type 2/3. I have learnt so much from your channel and fly lady has helped me so much with routines and staying motivated. I love the fly lady app and ticking it off as I go with routines and zones. My next goal is to get back into more exercise and self care. Oh and yes your after photo is definitely fresher and younger. Your before photo looks more like you were being your secondary 4.

I've been doing DYT for close to a year now - I'm a T2 (I 'think' I'm an S4). This video would be such a GIFT to a newbie T1 that is not sure how to build a wardrobe with T1 colors and style elements! I wish I had a T2 mentor to follow on KZbin! I was wearing black for so many years...I really struggle with how to put T2 colors together. There are a few ladies in the DYT and T2 FB groups that I find inspiration from - but it would be nice to see this type of video from an experienced T2/S4.

I use a capsule wardrobe, for creative expression and to streamline my mornings. For years I “lived in my secondary” (Type 2) wearing soft colors with drapey styles. When I started wearing my Type 1 colors, I felt more like me!

When I first started watching your videos I really liked your outfits. But comparing the before and after I really think you look so youthful, fresh and put together. It is always a great pleasure to see you. Following you on youtube made me aware that I am also a type 1 and I have change my wardrobe accordingly. Getting dressed now is really easy, I have only things that I really like and that suit me and packing my suitcase to go on vacation is also much easier. Since changing my style I do get very often compliments. Even my mother who is generally very critical said to me last week " You really look quite wonderful." I want to tell you that you looked extraordinarily more lovely today. Red really suits you and you do look like a breath of fresh air. I recently re-started the fly lady system after briefly starting it about 2-3 yrs. ago. I am doing the basics still and a lot of decluttering, etc.; haven't progressed to zone cleaning,, yet. Been doing the program now going on about 3 months- I have a lot to move; declutter. Want to say that the plan really helped me out this past weeks. I ended up having Shingles for this past 2 weeks and having the program was a life saver and it kept me from being more stressed out. By having the basic system in place, I felt less overwhelmed, etc. MInd you, it wasn't perfect or completely absolute but I noticed a difference with how I managed or felt. I am pretty much healed now, thanks to strong meds, etc. Well, off to run my dishwasher, etc. Thank you!

You introduced me to DYT and it is amazing. I am a type 4/2. The thing that initially attracted me to your videos were the outfits that you chose...at that time, your outfits were what we now know as type 4 outfits, and they were very inspiring to me! As a teacher, I had to dress in business casual outfits for work. My husband always used to remark how much happier I looked when I wore jeans or capris and tees on the weekend. Ive never been comfortable in form-fitting clothes- I need a looser fit. Years later I learned I was a type 2. Upon retirement I ditched most of my dress slacks and blouses, and Ive never been happier. I always look neat and presentable, but I am always comfortable in my clothes now. Its a great feeling.

This is so interesting! I’ve been thinking a lot about my small wardrobe and how it doesn’t seem to be serving me anymore. I’m not excited to get dressed the way I used to be. (Transitioning to working from home from working in an office adds to that.) In my younger years (and my personality) was always a type 4 , but I have been very attracted to your colours since I started watching your videos. I find them very uplifting. I do alot of thrift shopping and think I will try out some of the "spring" colours this year. I too love pearls and wearing white. I'll give it a try!

Hej Diane! Tack för ett extra trevligt KZbin-klipp. Du klär verkligen i de färger och den stil som Du använder nuförtiden. När Du dessutom har håret lite busigt tillrufsat , Obs! gärna både toppar och lugg även att Du låter det uppklippta av överhåret synas en aning , som om vinden fått skulptera det en aning, Det passar fantastiskt på Dig. När Du har lite längd på håret så kommer alla dessa ting till sin rätt, så fortsätt med det tillsammans med att använda de kulörer och nyanser som stämmer så perfekt. Mer av vår istället för vinter som Du själv har gillat och dragits till redan för länge sedan. Var försiktig med alltför kritvita vita och fortsätt med alla härliga kontraster i den klara fräscha varma skalan som ger rättvisa åt och matchar Dina egna fina , naturliga färger på ögon, hår och hy. Din stil stämmer så väl och ser så harmonisk och ungdomlig ut, man kan bara Gratulera och önska Dig ett fortsatt Lycka till med både de vanliga tipsen, peppningen och framtoningen som representerar Din härliga personlighet Perfekt! After - You really do look younger and fresher! I've read about DYT and watched enough videos to know I'm a 2/3. I always wondered why I was so fussy about how clothes felt and there was my answer.

I definitely love the after clothes and hair, I have only recently found you. I make all my own clothes and still look in my wardrobe and think argh some days. I think it is because I love fabric so I go for what grabs me rather then what will go or be practical. I have some gorgeous going out dresses and rarely go out! Great video.

I started DYT 2 years ago and I fully agree. I feel more me. I'm a type 1/3 so I prefer polka dots & floral patterns and I'm not a big fan of stripes on me but I do like them on the right person...like you.
