There are 2 problems with spinners. First, unlike dice they have memory. What was spun before does affect the next result. Second, it is possible to get ambiguous results as landing on a line between numbers is both possible and common.
@joshlewis88608 ай бұрын
Okay, well dice also have memory depending on which side you have face up when you roll it. The solution to that one is very simple. Just give it a little spin before your next “roll”, or fidget with it while it’s not your turn. Voila, now it’s random. And if you’re concerned with it stopping on the line, just always choose the number on the left or right if it is truly indiscernible. But most of the time it’s going to be easy to tell which side it’s leaning towards. The real downsides are only being able to spin one at a time, and the amount of time it takes to stop. Those combined mean you still need to have some dice on hand, because nobody likes waiting forever for someone to roll. And yeah, someone could use a spinner and easily cheat by lying about rolls but they were going to do that anyway. Solution to that one is don’t play with that person.

It's true that when your d20 shows a 19 for example, this dice always shows a 9 for the d10 and a 1 for the d8, but you're not meant to roll different dice at once with this roulette dice.
