this. i loved this song back then. now i understand what he’s saying. it’s easier to just to have casual flings and not care about the women he sleeps with…he can’t be their “superman”. he can’t be in a relationship cause he doesn’t trust women. being in love makes him act in ways that are motivated by his lack of trust (checking up on her, being jealous, etc). sparing him (and her) from a toxic relationship.

But I understand where you're coming from *Brad* that's why there was such a backlash to his song *(Kim)* but isn't it better to release those emotions on paper or in studio booth rather than acting them out? Because everybody has these crazy thoughts now & then but don't act on them

But Brad is right though. If a woman disses a man in a song, she's strong and she gets praised for being independent and standing up for herself. A man disses a woman in a song, he's disrespectful and doesn't know how to treat women. I mean like, seriously?

Em and Mariah have been rumored to date in the early 2000s. Even Em has said personality wise she was unbearable. Also one of Mariahs biggest thing was that she was a HUGE alcoholic back then Also the “Rot In Pieces” line is a reference towards a tattoo on Ems stomach with Kim’s name crossed out and says “Rot In Pieces” Plus Em has always been opened about his personal life so this isn’t really new

Its funny on this reaction between you guys.. i can tell brads projecting his own feelings and wondering what lex is thinking.. and everytime shes just like.. "yea its a vibe its cool" and hes like... wait... that's it? lol its funny how projections etc work.. how we put our perspective so strongly onto others.. like when your uncomfortable or awkward in a situation, and your thinking they're feeling it.. then you realize... no... they aren't haha that's something that's specific to me in my history, so i react this way to it. Like brad in this reaction lol Like a man putting hands on a girl for brad.. its probably a pretty common view to not lay hands on a girl. Many men grow up learning this or hearing it (i can only speak for western culture i guess..) so we def have a bias. So ive had to take time learning that hey... guess what.. you lay hands on a GUY? and expect nothing back? IS BULLSHIT. people should be measured no matter what, but how many videos have we seen where she's going to town on a guy, smacking the hell out of him and he's moving away trying to avoid etc and then he pushes her and everyone literally starts flipping shit lol like ok... cmon now.. People are people.. the spectrum applies to both sexes.. passive ppl, confrontational, inconsiderate, compassionate.. goes both ways. All we can do is try to teach and practice empathy.. standing outside of our shoes.. realizing our worth but also others value.. and hey, altruism doesn't have to exist. We can give to others, and get some validation etc from it.. not the end of the world.. ;) ive learned in my life, i'm not nearly as "kind" as i thought.. I want others to be happy 100% but i give out of guilt.. and weakness sometimes.. and also validation. feels good to get that thank you... but hey. If we give, and it's not 100% sincere or REAL etc the other person STILL benefits from how you help them. So forcing it is ok.. practice it.. i can't fix my own life, but i can def help out other people amidst all my bullshit :) if anyone actually read this.. "insert inspirational comment here" haha what do we write.. lifes a bitch.. she can throw down pretty good, but use those battles to strengthen up and prepare for the next. (i'm rereading this comment ^ wondering why it doesn't have to do with what i wrote before. well.. i guess it's a projection of what I want to hear in these moments ;)
