@aaronpynn52268 ай бұрын
I have a 700 CLX heritage, which has the nice bronze wheels, and I can honestly say that the eco vs sport difference is both audible and apparent. eco mode almost feels like it limits the rpm artificially, but not in a way that feels bad or unexpected. Sport mode has more of a throaty tone and likes to wind out all the way, and it absolutely feels like it pulls substantially harder past 5k RPM. I went from a CRF250 Rally straight up to one of these and ripping it for the first time felt like a rollercoaster. Also it runs somewhere around 13.3 on the drag strip with a good launch!

I own a 700cl-x. I was really excited to see you got one. If you really wanna let her rip, keep it above 7K RPM. The bike is tuned really docile under 7K then TAKES OFF over 7K. I switched my headlight out for a traditional aftermarket, got the raised seat, and designed and 3d printed a fender eliminator. I LOVE this bike. Love it way more than my Harley Streetbob that cost nearly 3x more. I plan on getting the tune to the ECU, as it adds around 10% peak power, but really fleshes out the mid range. Additionally, this bike is tuned really lean, so getting it flashed helps with engine temps as well as a big boost to power. TONS of fun! Enjoy it. P.S. I also bought the same levers and hit them with a dremel to make them fit.

I was recently shopping for a middleweight naked, and the CFMoto 450NK was a top contender. The tech is shockingly good, and the ride is perfectly adequate (sound was exceptional). I ended up buying a Honda CB500F instead for two main reasons: If I go to sell the bike in 2 years, ths Honda will sell for MUCH more than the CFMoto. And, Honda has a stronger aftermarket. It's hard to shake that "Chinese bike" stigma, but these bikes are seriously great for the money! Reliability and parts availability are to be determined...

That’s what I thought originally, but when I looked into it I saw it’s actually a pretty common issue. The gear indicator sensor touches another sensor inside the transmission and sometimes that connection gets messed up. But few 2-wheelers. As someone who has been riding a 2009 CFMoto V-5 for the last few years, I find this interesting. I would say CFMoto is the top of the line for china bikes, but that doesn't make them good, just not a disaster. While I would have bought that bike at that price, thats about what its worth in my opinion. I would not call it a deal. But my experience is with their older bikes. I am being told the new ones are better. But I am being told that by people that also say they are new to the US market an my bike does not even exist. KZbin is full of people being given free bikes to spout talking points, so I have to take everything they say with a lot of salt. You on the other hand buy your bikes an tell it like it is once the new wears off. So I cant wait for that video. CFMotos problems. Ease of maintenance is of low importance to them. Dont be shocked if you find a key part is not accessible . Parts supply is also not something they care about, especially after production ends. I can buy parts from Honda for bikes built in the 80s. Most companies promise parts availability for at least 10 years. My V-5 stopped production in 2014. Parts look to have stopped being produced at the same time. Mind you they used a lot of standard parts so only bike specific parts are an issue. Aftermarket parts also dried up rather fast. The other thing to remember is they are also cutting corners for profit. They are just better at hiding where.

Still wouldn't buy one, but they appear to be really trying to sell bikes. Given your buy, I can't see why anyone would consider new. You think it's a screaming deal, I think you paid what it was really worth, which isn't really that much. Until they ever build a REAL dealership network, these bikes are IMO, just like Amazon bikes. If they ever get a network, they will charge just like everyone else. So then what will the appeal be if they are not dirt cheap? To be cheap, there are sacrifices being made.
