I'm not at the serious point yet of buying a new car but it may get there in the near future. Still, I am investigating the options. I've driven a stick for about 35 years now. Maybe I'll find such nice paddle shifters give enough of a driver's experience to me. I don't know until I try it. Your review was very helpful. Thanks, man!

“It’s a torque increase not a power increase” is wrong. It’s making more power at lower rpm. The peak power is the same, but it’s making more power more of the time.

I have noticed something with all these youtubers they never once mention the price tag of one of these "CHEAP economy cars" I guess to them 70k is cheap but to me that is 50 k too much for a car with a 3cyl and small body....seriously this car is 70k BEFORE it hits the dealership up here in Canada....WHO THE HELL with a solid brain on there shoulders would spend that kinda money on a micro 3cyl car!?!?!?!?!?

This is a completely different transmission. IIRC it was built from the ground up for their GR Corolla/Yaris.

I'm waiting for the next generation of Corolla's (GR included with the DAT.) This generation, the interior is atrocious looking, with that high and raised dashboard being the ugliest element.

they should incorporate that infotainment screen into the dash......take cues from the old Evo 9 interior. If they are gonna make a spartan interior...at least make it look the part...like S2000 or Lotus.

@@LoveLikeaHurricane EXACTLY! I am about to get a 2025 GR Corolla and, IMO, that screen is the worst part of it…..and no arm rest where there should be one. The screen has like an inch or more of a black border that could be screen or they could have made the screen smaller. Other than that it is pretty sick with the new improvements.
