This is called narcissistic abuse, a form of emotional or psychological abuse (that often involves financial, sexual, spiritual and physical abuse too) at the hands of a narcissist, psychopath, sociopath, or borderline personality. The wounds of narcissistic abuse are often invisible yet it's very, very real. Narcissistic abuse is an epidemic happening to millions of people and most of them don't even realize it.
