An oasis in the city filled with rare birds and gorgeous native forest as it is mammalian free behind mammalian proofed fences (the rare birds don't do well elsewhere as the introduced mammals both compete with, eat and disrupt their environment). Look out for these kinds of sanctuaries and islands around the country as they offer insight into the liveliness of NZs wildlife its natural evolutionary setting. Utterly rejuvenating.

Drove from Masterton to Castle Point for the first time last Sunday, it is such beautiful countryside on the way, lovely green rolling hills and Castle Point was well worth the journey. I love the Wairarapa and I wish you all the best with finding your new home.

How exciting! It certainly is a challenge in todays market. We had an offer accepted on our dream home last week too! It took us a year and a half for it to find us. A 1790 country estate in the mountains. We had to pass on the home inspection due to six other similar offers. We close next month and I have only seen most of the house for 15 or so minutes. I can't wait to check out the outbuildings and walk the property. The views and property you have looks amazing!

Yaah Carrie i hope u get it. Down here u can just bung seeds straight in the soil and they grow great so u wont need to spend so much on potting mix. The hill between does get closed now and then due to snow and bad weather in winter, but it mostly good. If u love wine check out martinborough, you will be spoilt for choice as well as craft beer. But check out Toast, the wine and food festival there every year. It sells out super quick but u get most of the vineyards involved in it and amazing chefs and great live music at each one. Also look into WOW (world of wearable arts) in Wellington its amazing the level of art and fashion that comes from all over the world to compete and u will likely see some famous faces from both worlds as its internationally recognised and celebrated. I think u would love and enjoy both. Love all the content u make and look foward to each one. Love the ponumu ring and kete bag u have. Ur such a kiwi now!
