No matter how rough it looks now, I know you’ll turn it into something amazing. Keep up the great work! 💪

You have gone through something that I've had in my mind for a few years now. Great honest and informative job. You also convinced me to never buy a burnt machine. I am surprised at what auction price that a burnt machine would go for. I'm still looking daily for a dream machine, but my age is telling me that it'll never happen. So, thanks again for making this video. One of the best that I've ever seen.

I can only imagine the neighbours watching and thinking, now what's he up to. It certainly looks like a lot of work and a lot of expensive parts to replace. Good luck with this one, you'll need it
@bjarnevarme983010 сағат бұрын
Ah man, it didn’t look so bad at first but I don’t think it will ever run again. To many expensive parts gone up in flames. You win some and you lose some ❤

Mite be an unlucky purchase, but you are SO lucky to have such a beautiful family! You are so blessed my friend and you are a great father, you can tell your son loves helping you he’s already picking up wrenches and helping dad fix stuff. I really like your thought process, I think me and you are kinda alike on the way we work on stuff, we both also have case 450s lol

These type of videos are good for growing your channel, one benefit of having a channel is over time if you stick with it these videos will return your hard work. Of course you overpaid and this would not make sense for a non content creator. Your drive to carry through is what will bring the viewers. Supporters and haters alike, be nice to both. :)

Part out the cab/rops, tracks, final drives, undercarriage, loader items, main frame, and as much of the engine as possible and walk away. You will never come out on top trying to repair it. Also, don't beat yourself up over it. There is still much value in the good remaining parts. You will recover more than you think.

A floor jack to lift the back up and a few 3/4 piece of pipe under the tracks and it would slide right off.

Use a come along with a chain from center of track to top of can next time. Makes it a easy job to push front roller in

Very common to overpay at an auction. Also, buy a running machine next time, and think about all the time you could be working making money with it, instead of time spent rebuilding one. Big difference..

Ouch. That is A LOT of money and time to try and get this Bobcat purring again. I'm not an expert, but i don't think you will get away with less than 20K on parts to replace everything, if you buy original parts. If you want a project that bugs you for months and have the money, go for it. If you want a working skidsteer to help you with other projects, get a different machine.

I found out if you have a length of one inch or bigger black plastic pipe under the tracks even metal tracks slide off the deck easier. 🤷♂️ Totally by accident.

Tyler, bobcat are just not the machines there were since Doosan bought them. You are still going to be better cutting your loses and sell the parts. Go for a Case or Takeuchi. Look for one with a blown motor and rebuild it. It’s more of a known quantity.
@ignoramus373610 сағат бұрын
Damn that is rough. I hope you miraculously find a crushed one with internals intact for the parts.

I dont know why anybody hasnt said it but please for the love of god, cut your losses now and run away from this thing!!! I love a good project like anyone else, but there's far far far better things to spend your money on. If you decide to tackle this thing at least you'll have accumulated the required skills to do literally anything with a skidsteer, from the frame up. Lol

I suppose that machine in working order is a 40-50k machine so you should be able to break even. I dislike Bobcat so much I don't think I could bring myself to save it. 52:29 Yeah keep those in stock. A super proprietary $90 fuel filter. A filter that Bobcat updated some time ago to actually filter and protect the injection system (after ruining many). There is no lift pump, no heater... first hint of cold weather... no start. Low rail pressure code.

Build it with a parts-machine. In the long run it will buy off. A running machine like that is more worth, just take it slow and keen. Keep it up with this good stuff

If you need help finding used parts let me know. I work in oak park. I know a few places that's has used equipment you can pull parts off of. There is a yard called Milton scrap they have them an you can pull what ever you want. There is a place on 25& Gratiot that you can get used parts. A place about à hour north I'll get the name of the place. Also go on repocast has them going cheap all the time.

That machine is to heavy to trailer round . What means more having a machine now to do your bizz or waiting for years to find what u need to getting it running and look at the money u lost waiting to fix a machine. A 550 or 595 would be better buy and is trailerable with A 3/4 ton truck

For the amount of labor it will take and the costs involved, you could have bought a later model working skid steer. Bobcat is not so reliable and very costly. Check with Andrew Camarata, he has been through all this.
