Lavon really does like to help people anyway possible in this sport. A lot more so than other “big” name companies, I remember a few years ago,when I was still working for my old boss. He has a compound turbo lb7 duramax with a 48re swap and we had a issue with the trans (built by a very reputable “big” brand that was also at the event) and we spoke with the trans builder and owner of “said”company and got the response of “just pull it and send it to the shop next week we’ll get it figured out”. Us being pitted diagonal to lavon and the guys, we decided to ask lavon what his thoughts were on the issue and he told us exactly what the issue was (confirmed by said trans builder weeks later). It wasn’t something we could have fixed that day, but the fact that lavon openly explaining what the issue was, what caused it , and how to prevent it in the future vs what the actual trans builders response of” just send it to the shop will fix it and send it back”.just speaks volumes to how authentic lavon and the firepunk guys are to helping guys trying to have fun in this sport

Maybe for the ucc video: the mechanical injection dyno motor that had been engine dynoed to well above the number it did on the roller I remember over hearing and or other people saying either the roller couldn’t load it hard enough or something to do with the throttle pushing back on you so hard that it couldn’t get to full fuel. Would be cool to hear about that story with more clarification/details. It was definitely the top of the talk when fire punk swapped in this motor for the dyno event for a long time. Thanks for the videos :)

You guys see Josh "horsetorque diesel" video of one of you guys golden nugget trannys that lasted 8 years of hard abuse and the only thing that happened was the intermediate shaft broke haha it looked great other than that haha thats awesome to have a tranny you built last that long through absolute mayhem haha thats why I am ordering a rebuild kit and some other goodies for my 48 from you guys ❤️❤️❤️

Great video series. The details and stories remembered do impress me. Not sure I'd remember details from 7-8 years ago. Maybe some discussion about the engine that exploded on the engine dyno. Where it was to be used, the setup, what was learned from it. Don't forget, CompD is still around. Slow, but still there. Come visit some time. Thanks for taking the time to do these.

Your DMAX wouldn’t crank because the fuel return lines aren’t under enough pressure to allow the injectors to open. Unplug the return line and apply air pressure while cranking.

Lynn mentioned a "drag week feeling" have you guys ever thought about doing a drag and drive event in the quad cab or another truck?
@jonkern23252 жыл бұрын
I had the diesel power magazines w both years. Sadly they’re gone now..one thing that stuck out to me when I 1st saw the quad cab was the 4th gen tail gate on it.

Thanks guys, just loving this series, brings back many memories. Hey did l hear you dis us little guys, 🇨🇦 🤏 😛. That's okay, we got big ♥️ 💜 🇨🇦 🇺🇲. This is like l said, a talk show for diesel dudes, l would like to see maybe some of the other guys on with you, a different competitor every week or show! It's great hearing your guys views on stuff, D.P.C. some G.M.C. guys, some FORD guys, it's a really good time for this because of the last two years with the covid crap! It would be nice to see new product, new ideas 💡, new builds, stuff you sell, % off for us 🇨🇦, the dollar is a bitch on the exchange. I like it because it's fun, we are all dealing with fuel prices, breakage! Even us Duramax guy's. 😄😉. Thanks Again Guys. ✌🏻🔑, 🤏🧡, ❄❄🌧🥶 🇨🇦 👨🦽😎👋🏻.
