During COVID I sat around watching KZbin and eating anyting. I'm Senior T2D, not over weight, and was generally posting 7.0 A1C, but after COVID I had a 7.8 A1C and knew I had to do something about it. Found a store that sold CGMs wo/script reasonably and started triming my diet of carbs & sugars. Within 6 mos was down to 6.6 A1C and just now 6.2. For me the motivation is hopefully a longer life and my reward is seeing my CGM read low values. I do 20 mins on my spin bike either listening to KZbin or watcing a movie. The CGM gives me an instant reward by showing a reduction in BS. So you are right that having an easily obtainable goal is important and exotic equipment is not necessary. Hope others are inspired by you video.

What a great attitude about exercise. I get functional fitness at work, lifting heavy boxes, so at home if I do do any exercise it is either a few minutes of aerobics from a YT video OR a fitness band, or trying to do planks (terrible at that maybe 20 seconds??) I used to walk every day. Now I try to go up and down the steps many times in a day, and that is about it as I am pooped after work. With my one day off a week I don’t get much exercise in. When I retire I have decided to go to the local gym a couple of times a week to do weights to keep the musculature that I got from my job. I am hoping hubby and I will take walks once I retire. Only walks we do are dog-related and I usually don’t go with him. Good for you that you figured out a way to get it in and keep it interesting. Also changing your mindset so you can do it.

A little consistently vs a lot sporadically. Great words. I always thought its full bore every day or its not worth it. Thanks for the encouragement.
