Dietz & Watson Natural Casing Hot Dog Review

They are great! I give the beef a 10! I give the Black Forest Beef & Pork a 9. They are so good and snap when you eat them with the sheep natural casing. If you can find these with other Dietz & Watson deli products, I totally recommend them. One caveat: I have no available other natural casing northeast dogs available in my grocery stores, which I would like to try in the future but I will have to special order them. I don't know I can regularly go back to non-natural casing dogs after this, we'll see.

I'd assume they are available anywhere Dietz and Watson are sold. In Texas I've found them at Randalls/Tom Thumb. I understand Boar's Head also makes natural casing dogs, which in theory would be available anywhere Boar's Head products are sold.

I've definitely heard of Kayem but never had one. I looked up on their website and to order 3 packs, with shipping, it was going to be well over $100 bucks. They only ship via FedEx. If I ever get up to the northeast, it will be a destination dog for me for sure!

NC here cant get my Sabrett's w/casings here, BJ's doesnt carry them anymore. Any one know where I can get Sabrett's in NC

Oh man, I live far away from NC for idk. I can share I found they can be purchased online and delivered but they're expensive that way. Do you have Boars Head products sold nearby? They make a good hot dog, very good dog, but the snap was not super crisp, they are natural casing dogs - great flavor too.

@@michaelwilsonbarber Mike thanks for the info. I'm 75 grew up on Sabretts retired cant absorb the cost of them online. I even am very familiar w/where they are on Smith St. Englewood NJ Hard to find Dietz and Watson too

@@Capt083 Captain, thank you sir! I think I have had a Sabretts when I've visited NY. Yes, if you can get Boar's Head products at a deli somewhere, they should have the natural casing hot dog which is VERY good - probably not as good as Sabretts but I've have to try one side to side and I don't think I have the money to order Sabretts either but I might do it one time for the full experience.
