Hearing this man speak, the eloquence and intelligence, humility and wit, really makes you sense the stardust he is made of. The words "god" and "legend" are overused in this era, but for Robert Plant? Using any descriptions other than these is doing a disservice to the voice and mind that carries the lyrics of so many forces of nature. Thank you Robert Plant

Given how little exists of Plant in interviews during the Zep years for the reasons we all know so well and even beyond those years...its awesome to have these podcasts where he presents these stories behind the songs...just amazing! Please continue to do these the subscriber count will grow in due time!

🎼 when one appreciates an artist not only for their music, but for the person he or she has become over their career, that's when they truly shine! For the many blessings you've received, we forget the many loses that came with them on your path.....& like the rest of us, ( your) music has been the healing stone. If we knew nothing about you other than your music history, it would definitely tell a story ......with many chapters to come!!✌❤

"Pledge Pin" is mine - rarely, if ever, gets mentioned and totally ignored by the Critics at the time- so many layers to that song -it rocks as well as swings with that brilliant sax playing by the Late Raphael Ravenscroft who famously played on Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street"

I love this song... well, Robert never left, (although in an interview he said: "I actually arrived in 1982... out of nowhere, in 1981 I was still in the cold.") but his life in LZ had faded and he paused and came with this solo album, renewing himself, pouring his emotions into this song... I love you, Golden God, forever my Crush #1 ❤

Completely agree with you. It was also one that could have been a more mellow 80's sounding Led Zeppelin album, an almost natural progression from In Through The Out Door. Robert had yet to expunge his Zeppelin mannerisms yet.

Loved the first two solo records, in particular the second one, The Principle of Moments, a huge album for me during high school. The droning guitar chords string by string, the synthesizer-carpeting, the 1980's glossy sound, that frosty weed feeling. I don't think it was a mistake to explore the technology because it reflected those times and you weren't afraid to break out of the long shadow of the Zeppelin.
