Since English is not my mother tongue I'm finding rather difficult to understand why is this funny or whatever it is. Would someone try to explain to me? From what I understood so far is like if a group of people are too serious and never laugh, someone walks in and says "Does anybody remember laughter!?" ... but why would this be funny? :P
@hrhrae19595 жыл бұрын
Mauricio Trindade when led zeppelin were performing in Madison Square garden in 74 I think and Robert plant was singing Stairway to heaven, at one point in the song he asks the audience, " do you remember laughter? " You can find it on KZbin. Just type in Stairway to Heaven Madison Square garden and it should come up. Enjoy.

I had such a HUGE crush on Robert when I was between 11 and 17. I was born in 1964, so that would have been 1976 or so. Had a poster of him on my walll. I had the albums on vinyl, then cassettes, then cd's. Had a LZ t-shirt. I remember the first time I ever heard LZ. I was about 6? My older sister got LZ 1 for her birthday. She played it in our bedroom on one of those suitcase record players. I'm 54 now. That was a long time ago. LZ featured prominently throughout my childhood.

Robert Plant's humility is amazing. He is arguably the greatest rock star post-Beatles, but he can both laugh at himself and admit to wanting/needing to continue to grow musically. It keeps him relevant where so many other rock stars, who cling desperately to the formula that brought them success have faded. It's such a blessing that Plant has been able to continue to provide an evolving soundtrack to my life.

I am going to be seeing Robert perform in Stockholm next week (hopefully). It will be my best concert since 1979's Knebworth and kd Lang also in Stockholm, 7 years ago. I grew up a Jimmy Page fan but matured into a Robert Plant one. There are indeed 'two paths you can go by but in the long run there is still time to change the road you are on'. He made an inspiring speech to a group of young fans in January that I showed my 81 year old mother and she said 'What a beautiful intelligent man'. I was born in Solihull in Birmingham, the home of Robert and John B. The worlds best Rock drummer! Keep flying your free spirit & peace and love! *Funny to hear Robert say he was getting itchy in 1976. I always thought 'Presence' should have been their swan song!*

Plant refused to play Zeppelin songs on his first tours for "Pictures at Eleven" and "Principle of Moments". At the time, my 13 year old self HATED that. But now I look at that time as a defining moment for a true artist.

Robert, I adore all of your work. All your solo work is brilliant. All your collaborations are fantastic. Every cover you do becomes my favorite cover. I love the exotic, magical, mystical flare you add to everything. It's all gorgeous. Thank you for your work and thank you for this podcast. What a gift to revisit this work and learn more about your inspirations! I've seen you in concert twice and hope I can catch you again this fall in Bend, OR. Please, never stop. The world needs the beauty you create and I am so thankful for it.

Never be embarrassed about your journey. Every step is a reflection of the time and your growth from within and without. History and lessons learned . Deeper definition of ones self in the reflections of time.
