Alex, you're so persistently directed in your searches and dig through such daunting collections of junk that no one could say you get "easy money" ! As a long-term, regular viewer you are in a league of your own for industry, creativity and motivation. Sometimes, such as today, it's possible to feel the energy drain and fatigue that you go through to make the magic happen. You are generous in sharing information and never-ever seeming greedy or scheming in your exchanges with the people you work and deal with. Best wishes to you, your amazing wife and children... each of you are a gift to humanity.

I appreciate your incredibly vast knowledge of items from so many eras. Most KZbinrs aren’t nearly as knowledgeable as you. It makes sense since you own an antique store, but I learn a lot and enjoy a walk down memory lane occasionally. This is my favorite type of video since I’m not going to estate sales or thrifting now. We all live vicariously as you pick through piles of who knows what!

Alex , you have an amazing eye for old things - we watch in amazement the things you come across . We're also baffled at the prices you fetch at auction for such treasures - you deserve to earn a lot more for your pieces at auction !!! Have you considered looking into larger auction houses in the U.S where they may have a more upscale audience , for example Christy's or others ? People who appreciate old things understand that when we purchase these kinds of items - we are purchasing a part of history that is gone forever - that is what makes these items so valuable especially if you are purchasing something just for the love of it . i hope you will consider looking into my suggestion . The batch for auction you showcased today is wonderful and i know you could get a hell of a lot more for them with the right audience . Good - luck Alex 👍

When you said about the 100 year old violin it reminded me of a joke by the British comedian/magician Tommy Cooper. I went up into the attic and found a Stradivarius and a Rembrandt. Unfortunately Stradivarius was a terrible painter and Rembrandt made lousy violins.

I hollered Fisher Price Little People!!! when you passed that box. Glad you scooped those up. I was surprised how well they do on ebay, altho I havent priced them lately. Was bemused at the idea of putting that orange phone in my light yellow 1989 mobile home kitchen, as there is a wall phone jack for one. Ihave so much stuff Im not sure what to do with yet, I will probably be struggling for wall space when I finally figure out which end is up tho. Wish you were local to me. I have no idea how Im going to absorb all my dads stuff when we finally go to arizona to collect it. Thankfully, nobodys in a huge hurry yet, but uhgh. Im pretty good at selling stuff, its just going to take the rest of my life. I put a microwave plate plastic guide roller in the mail to somebody tonight, so yay. Thats one of my secret weapons. When someone puts an old microwave out, I grab the plates and rollers. They sell kinda gradually, but they do go eventually.
