My tamron 70-300 VC has some fungus in the VC group of lens behind the aperture. The front group is fine. Is it possible to clean the lens or should I replace the VC entirely like in this video? Everything is working fine now except the fungus at corners.

Sentharai Pandiyan hi, if you disassemble the VC unit this will affect to the quality of the picture . Need Axis alignment afterwards. So better exchange the vc unit . Need special equipment for adaptation of the new vc unit.

Hi, yes, you need spanners. Try to clean the 1 g lens group with hidrogenoxyde. :)

Dropped my Tamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD this morning all looked ok and then I realised I had lost the ability to auto and manual focus( Gutted )my only wildlife lens all I have is my kit lens . I can hear the motor trying to focus would it be worth taking apart perhaps something has got jammed up were am I able to purchase any parts if needed. I have very little funds and would not be able to afford a repair. Any advice would be gratefully received.

My ex girlfriend put a pear in my photo bag Tele pocket (without me knowing) during a vacation and forgot about it. I haven't opened the Tele pocket for half a year, but as I did the anger-level was at "DEFCON 1". Who the fuck puts fruits into a photo bag directly next to a lens without any plastic bag around it? The whole lens was soaked in pear-juice. AF stopped working as well as the zoom ring (glued together). I'll try to clean it up with the help of this video. Thank you for uploading it.

HI , your lens need AXIS alignment . You can't do it by yourself . Bring the lens to nearest service centre of Tamron or to us :) Regards!

Bought a lens from Japan, the focus ring will not go lower than 15 ft, it focuses fine above 15ft, simple fix?

Hello , thank you for your question :) 1G lens - unscrew on the left. Need special tool :). Below there is a 3 screws , remove them and you can reach the 2G lens:)

Sayed 3amr you should disassemble the Usd module and try to adjust it. If not, try to find spare motor.

Hello, if there fungus below 1G lens(front lens) the only way to remove them is to exchange the 1G lens. :( The fungus may stop to multiplicate but, you can't remove them from the lens.
