Yeah, once you are used to a 85 inch or bigger a 75-inch tv actually look kinda small. Lol 😆 never thought a 75-inch would look small to me. 85 inch is becoming the new normal for a lot of living rooms. It depends on the size room though a 75 looks huge in a small living room. I have a 100-inch tv, and it doesn't even look that huge to me, but my living room is large for a 1600sq ft house. 20x16, we sit 13 feet away from the tv. So a 130-inch would be the most emmersive. But I would have to rearrange my living room and sit length wise like 20 feet away from the tv then, and it would look small from that far back still. 130 is about as large as my living room walls could handle. My 100-inch maxes out a wall between the living room and kitchen, though. The wall is 89 inches wide, and the tv is 88 inches lol 😆

I had to hang it a bit higher because of the dogs, they have some leathal tail wacking that could crack screens lol 😆 I thought about getting the u8n but I thought the u76n was a good deal for the price. I can always upgrade later to the u8n and it may get even cheaper in a few years when they start comming out with 130 inch tvs. Although I didn't know they had the tcl qm7 for 2k recently which has to be the best deal for a close to 100 inch tv out there. It is 2 inches smaller, but it's also a mini led with 1500 dimming zones and 2400 nits brightness. So it has to be the best deal out there. I didn't know the u76n wasn't mini led when I bought it. I just got the 100U70 Hisense and it’s pretty awesome. It hasn’t dethroned my 77 C9 OLED in my man cave. Big screen definitely makes bad quality video look quite bad. 720P or below forget about it. High quality 1080P from a solid source is fine, but you want 1440P or high content to be honest. But for my main family living space where Bluey dominates the screen, it’s just fine. Disappointed Caleb just glossed over the 97" G4 OLED. The M series is not only more expensive but that use case (a wireless connect box) that's work for everyone. Given everything I have connected in my home theater, a wireless box would actually be more difficult to integrate than just the regular G4 in my space. Nevertheless, I have a G4 97" OLED and it is stunning! If you're spending the big bucks, there is no better all around TV in the market IMO.
@vfplayer2 күн бұрын
If I remember correctly, the 97” doesn’t use an MLA panel, which is the distinguishing characteristic of the G line, not sure why they called the 97” a G without the MLA panel. That might be why he glossed over it.
@TruTechnoGamerКүн бұрын
@@vfplayer That's true but none of the 97" OLED sizes use MLA including the M3 (and current M4) and the G2. So that's not the reason and I'm sure Celeb is well aware of that. MLA is a key but not the defining factor for the G series IMO. The defining factors are really the Gallery design, A11 Processor, and Brightness booster max which includes the MLA HW along with several software algorithms. The 97" G4 has all of that and only lacks the physical MLA layer which is not needed in a dark room in particular. The G4 is still brighter than the 97" G2 was and the current C4 line which puts it comfortably over 1000 nits (1000-1100 range). More than adequate for a panel that size.

"quality" is part of the "experience" and the experiences is what we get home theater TV's for. High technical quality but at a notably smaller screen size is going to be less of an experience than a theater experience a large screen is going to bring. Plus the reality is the "quality" you speak of can usually only be noticed when doing side-by-side comparisons which no one other than reviewers are going to do.

@ Me . I had 2 legendary TVs . Google it up : Sharp Aquos Quattron “ It could produce 99.9 % color human eyes could see . When other TVs could only do 67% max. N they tv had glass screen , Actually dense color vibrant . When I was so young n bought that tv , the sales guy got so nervous . Act I paid he thought I was secret shopper sent by Bestbuy to test because they were all ordered to tell everyone “SONY BEST” but that tv was significantly better beyond apprehension . D first thing he ask :” don’t play video games ? do u watch blue ray “ I said no to both . He said that he thought I was secret shopper cuz he work at TV space for years “u got best TV , i have d same one at home ! Because everyone else buys this tv r Old Man , like uncle . I thought u were secret shopper your tv so much better than SONY !” lol it was super surprised . Hey maybe I should get blue ray player . But buddy u should check the U8N over Bravia7 any day . Hisense bought sharp in 2015. Ppl have to see it to believe their visuals.

$2300 85 inch QN90D or $2500 85 inch Bravia 7 ? Which one would you buy for a very large high ceiling living room with alot of windows ?

If you have a Student or EPP account you can get the QN90D for much less($1700) via Samsung Shop.

Would you pick the Samsung 83” S90C over the 98” QM7? I’m not sure the picture quality can overcome that large of a size difference.

Do the TCL and Hisense Mini-LED displays still have less dimming zones in the UK models??
@nickz61432 күн бұрын
I will stick with my LG laser projector until Micro LED module panels are an affordable option in order to make at least a 120” display. The current 100 - 110” TV’s from TCL and Hisense are too much of a pain in the ass to move around or deal with if there is a warranty issue. At least with the Module style TV’s from Samsung or Sony, you can replace the module. I doubt the cost will come down any time soon, but I stand by my decision until such time.

Do you think next year will bring a 98 inch Bravia 9? Sony's new TVs being too small is kind of annoying. On another note do you think the theatre quads next iteration will support multi sub or a physical sub out? A 98" Bravia 9 plus theatre quad with multi sub would be quite the home theatre setup that's more than good enough for most people. It's annoying it doesn't exist!

Samsung wall goes up to 292 inches. But it's a multi panel microled and its like 2 million bucks at that size. Tcl says new factory is capable of 130 inch panels and even panels up to 146 inches. So we could see some mega screen tvs in the future. Likely that would be as big as tvs could possibly go. a 146 inch tv I would imagine you would need a 8 foot tall front door likely. Or it would have to be taken out of its box before bringing it in to install. Because it would be a 6 foot tall tv and likely have another 12 inches of packing material and a skid under it. My 100 inch tv inside it's box was like 5ft 6 inches tall and the tv is only about 50 inches tall. But it was on a skid and had thick packing material. I think anything bigger than a 130 would likely be a 7 foot tall box. A 120 the box would probably be like 6ft 5 inches tall at least. A 130 would max out a front door I am sure. Also a tv that size would likely weigh like 300lbs plus. So it wouldn't be practical for a single panel tv to ever really go over 130 inches imo. Unless they are oleds,very thin and weigh much less.. which would probably still be 130lbs tvs at those sizes. I think as far as lcd panels go anything over a 110 inches is too heavy. You need handles built into the tv top and bottom and like 2 body builders delivering it lol 😆

I refuse to pay double the price than the US here in Europe. This is bullshit. I'm not paying 3.500$ for a QM8(X955) when it costs 1.800 in the US. Same applies to the bravia 9. 5.000euros for a Mini-LED TV is criminal.

I think the context that's missing here is actual proper viewing distance and do you have enough space for this MASSIVE TV!!!! I guess the fad right now is going as big as possible for immersion and less quality.......I'd say, if you can check all the boxes, then do it. Otherwise, wait a few years until prices come down even further!!!

Buying a huge but cheaper TV with poorer colour accuracy: can this be fixed with professional calibration?
@rolig3518Күн бұрын
In many cases, yes. Look at at rtings pre and post calibration scores.
@kevincody8391Күн бұрын
@@rolig3518 look, and then ponder ponding out bringing a pre-calibrated QM7 of 5.5 up to its potential of post calibrated 9.5. you are not going to spend $600 to have a Pro calibrate the $500 55", @ $2000 for 98" maybe. An average person might be able to bring to 8.5 after investing a lot of effort. Sweat equity, frustrating trial & error, a kitten chasing its tail. Besides tedious there's bugs in the firmware.

I did some personal side by side comparisons if the 98-100" tvs and the Sony's ability to so clearly reproduce sports from cable and streaming services won me over. If I were only watching Blu-ray I'd go with the hisense. None of the tcls looked accurate out of the box.

@darens4402 күн бұрын
These giant TVs are massive so why buy a cheap one? QM7 or better because when that giant TV is setup you dont wanna mess with it again. I personally bought the QNED90T 86" as i like LG and have had great luck with them. Its a heavy, well built TV with great picture quality. For the room i installed it in a 98" would have been too much. A 77" oled would have been too small, but the mini led 86" was just right. 83" oled was like +700 dollars didnt wanna spend it.
@jamesloehr641Күн бұрын
A 86 is still a massive tv and very nice. I had the 86 inch lg before I got my 100 inch hisense. But honestly their wasn't a huge different in size from a viewing distance. It looks way bigger up close and on menu screens. But normal viewing the 86 inch felt just as expansive and emersive.

@@Yoga_Tv_buying Enough with the contrast, there's more to a TV than contrast. I've had the 98" UX, QM8, X90L Bravia 9 and LG G4. The Sony processing and reliability are worth the price he paid, though the 98" UX is the most impressive looking of the bunch/size.
