This is the first time we’ve done a JOINT reaction to two artists (three, if you count Queen/Freddy Mercury) in the same video! Freddy Mercury laid the foundation with his eccentricity. Dimash completely obliterated and “DIMASHIFIED” the song. Angelina Jordan brought us some serenity in the end. WHERE DO I BEGIN… Lets start on the vocal capability and range. So Dimash has understood the art of muscle coordination in the phonation area of the voice. He is a Tenor (meaning his voice tends more toward the middle and top of the voice vs the bottom like say a Baritone) so with that explaination he has a natural advantage to sing high and easy up to probably Bb4/C#5 or anything like that, basically opera tenor high notes, meaning he could of just strengthen this area and become a really good opera tenor. NOW this is what makes Dimash fasinating to analyze. He can sing from a strong E2 - C6 in his full voice. Of course the sound coming out is different as he goes higher and higher but not only can he do this but he can sing dynamically in these places. Meaning he has muscle coordination in his lowest notes and highest notes. WHICH IS UNHEARD OF, but more then this, his production of his sounds aka his Dynamics range to the extremes of the human voice. He can sing airy (which is not special) but he knows how to sing so lightly in his phonation he can engage the cords with little to no pressure in anywhere of that range, that is just as light as breathing (which is how one is suppose to sing) now he can go to the extremes in strength all the way to the intensity, size and body of the most iconic Opera singers (saddly most opera singer dont know how to produce freedom in a note that loud so they push and it ruins the sound coming out). NOW LASTLY…. his falsetto! I would LOVE to hear him sing some of Handel’s more strenuous castrato roles. I think if he could learn the language and the style, people at the Metropolitan Opera would go ape shit over him. I would. I haven’t heard a vocal talent like that since Joan Sutherland. So to recap. Dimash has a vocal range in full voice of E2 - C6, in falsetto from C4 - D8 and he can sing dynamically at the extremes of human sound from breath, and breath like cord abduction to the strongest, most intense sound the human voice can create. Lastly, he can control all of this. Which was or is the best singer who ever lived, in terms of technique, vocal range and power? I’d say Dimash. He’s literally called best singer in the world by vocal coaches and he also has the biggest range ever with almost 7 octaves (E1) - F#1 - A1 - C6 - F#6- D8), and he’s i.a. a trained bel canto singer, which is the most powerful singing technique there is (most volume, most resonance, most overtones etc) I’m 83 years old and have of course heard lots of singers in my lifetime. I can say without reservation that he has the most versatile, wide-range voice I have ever heard. He also is very emotional and dramatic in his music interpretations which makes his performance all the more interesting.

I will admit that I haven't listened to many songs by AJ. I first saw her on whichever singing show she was first on (AGT??) as a very young girl and thought her voice was amazing for her age. I've been meaning to listen to more of her music during the last few years but just haven't gotten around to it because most of the time I'm listening to Dimash, or in smaller doses, Queen, because I love them both. So this seemed like the PERFECT time to watch all three of them. AJ has a terrific voice, but to me she's just "a very good singer", whereas Dimash is a phenomenon. I know she has a huge fan base, which she totally deserves, but to me Dimash just can't be beat because he's an exceptional singer and performer. I'm old (11 days older than Brian May) so have been around during all the great singers from the 50's on, but I have NEVER been as big a fan of any of them as I am of Dimash. Anyway ... thanks for your always complete and detailed reactions. I really enjoy you guys!

You said it. He is a performer. Calling Dimash a phenomenon is bordering to being silly, but you continue to be his fan. To me Dimash is just a good/great singer that performs but he brings nothing of himself and no real feelings and soul into his songs. To me it looks and sounds very much arranged and produced to be very commercial.

@@carnivore2023 i dont thinks so. feeling doesnt have only way. he is a performer but that is on stage. thats normal freedy was a performer MJ was a performer. you listen to ikanaide or ave maria its full of emotion. if a have to say something about this man its thats feels his music and just because he uses a big part of his voice doesnt mean that emotion diseapears. we are in a world thats singer must sings over 3 octave or less to put emotion in his songs as if the emotion was in his range and not in his soul.

Freddie said "You can do what you want with my music, but don't make me boring." Dimash may not be everyone's cup of tea, but this was NOT boring! So I believe Freddie would be pleased! For me, Dimash is such an Operatic Singer that the Rock/Blues genre is not the best showcase for his inestimable talent. Angelina struck closer to the emotional Heart of the song, and so is my preferred choice.

Dimash version is vocally and technically another level, high chest voice, primo passagio, second passagio, appassionato, prestissimo, vibrato, transition from 5th octave mix Belting to head voice D6 to C6 like it's nothing, it's unbelievable hard to do, there is huge difference between just hit the notes and sing notes with great technique. He uses bel canto technique that is considered as the best vocal technique that requires the most training and musical knowledge, he uses his voice as he wants. He's almost profesor of the music, he's not just a singer who sings high notes, he's incredibly educated and he knows what and how he is doing. He's named as the best vocalist by high level professionals for the reason.

That Dimash has the best voice is really douptful,but you like everyone are allowed to have your opinion.That Dimash have the greatest range in his voice can we may be agree upon,but to my ears his voice is too operatic,and in my opinion its over the top to always showcase all of his different voices and range in every song.He is not always doing that,but way to often to my liking,and in the long term its get boring,and I can't listen to him more than to or three songs in a row before I have to listen to others,and for the most that will say Angelina Jordan Astar,and a star she is,and may be this year with her first record for Public Record,the rest of the world will agree upon that she is a star.Dimasj has a range of his voice like no other,but a great voice is much more than that,and I prefer Angelina's voice,she is much easier to listen to,and I have to stop listening to Dimash after may be to or three songs,while I can listening to Angelina each and everyday 24/7,and in a way I do that,because I listening to her every day without she ever get boring at all,and for many her voice has a therapeutic quality in it that nobody else have.Dimash on the other hand in spite of his unparralell voice lack that quality at least for my taste,his singing is too theatric an his singing where he always showcase all of his range and octaves is for me more of a circus act than really good singing,so IMHO he is overhyped,he is a great singer and showman,but he is not for my ears,so only ocassionally I must check him out,but its allright that you dears prefer Dimash,but its not all people of the world that think he is the singing god that you dears think he is.

When I listen to Dimash’s version, I am persuaded this is personal. It is painful to watch one so young and talented expressing such raw emotion. AJ’s version is lovely … but, there is almost the lack of experience, depth and real passion. She is easy to listen to … smooth. Dimash is just raw almost bleeding.

If it's been 8 months since you've last heard Dimash you need to check out his 'One Sky' mv, I think you'll really enjoy it. Going back to this reaction, you should check out more Queen, they're great, I was lucky enough to see them quite a few times with Freddie as their frontman and he was amazing, one of the best bands I've ever seen. Dimash smashed this cover, I wasn't sure about it when I first heard it but it's one of my favourites now! AJ has such a powerful voice and range, she impresses everytime, great reaction to all 3 artists.

Jaja Un vibrato común y vulgar de 1 semitono(caprino), dimash realiza vibratos en notas de sopranos mucho mas difíciles de 3 semitonos (clásico) y en voz de cabeza y todas son muy pulidas, la única forma de comprobarlo es atravez de visores de espectro.

Но при всем моём уважении, данный кавер это только её первые попытки в осмыслении этого великого произведения. I think Dimash has an opera singer’s voice except he can hit all these ranges & he is a great stage performer! With Angelina, she sings with emotion that describes the words of the song, she makes you feel the subtleties of it. They are both amazing, fantastic singers that represent different styles. thats the problem its not about the voice its about the style. Angelina use her voice for a more jazzy thing of the song. and more of a pop rock style and of course it recure more range. he could the same version of angelina but he is more a rock fan or mixing genres. just because you stay in your first impression you dont have to make this kind of statement. its a bit silly to say that when a person uses a bigger part of his voice the song serves the voice.

Men, I'm so glad you did this reaction. I like your analyses. First, the Queen version was, to me, an homage to Freddie's life and body of work with an upbeat and hopeful feel. Then, Dimash's version, to me, was almost a lament and heartfelt longing to hear Freddie again but with the realization that all goes on regardless how much we want to relive something - in short, he is mourning. Finally, Angelina's version sounds like hope and the search for how things will move forward in the future. You guys are superb in your reactions. Thank you.
