One woman who went to one of DImash's concerts said that the whole stadium was shocked at the power of his voice and likened it to a religious experience. She said it took nearly 2 weeks to return to normal. This is why "Dears" (Dimash named his fans Dears) fly in from all over the world to see him. Here is a "quote" i copied to post from a past reaction to Dimash: "unico unici Miss, you seem honest and passionate. So you deserve me to explain to you who and what Dimash is. I will use the Google translator hoping for a good translation. In any case, I will also bring my text back to you in my mother tongue. I'm Italian. I've known bel canto since I was born. In Dimash's case, talking about octaves, as well as his whistle log and immense vocal technique, is still reductive. Dimash has a universal voice. To be clear, his voice is like what in biology is called a totipotent cell. In this sense it is a "stem voice". From this cell can be generated any type of tissue, what are commonly called musical genres. Its transitions are such that the transition no longer exists. Dimash does not sing the different genres (opera, pop, rock, also rap et cetera...). It's all genders already. In his case, musical genres are nothing more than a coloriture, an inflection, a declination, of his general voice. The same applies, of course, to all his voice records. This also leads to the fact that he sings easily in several languages. The different national languages are nothing more than determinations, sub-species, of its general sonority. Dimash has sometimes been criticized for not focusing exclusively on the Opera. It was Dimash himself who declined the invitation to specialize in operatic singing. And this is perfectly consistent with its nature and value. Dimash is not only an operatic singer, neither just rock, nor just pop, nor anything else specified and specifyable simply because he is a "holistic" singer in both the philosophical and scientific sense of the term. Dimash is a "singing system" that is more than the sum of its own parts. He sings with his whole body. This fact does not only relates to technical considerations relating to the posture to be taken at different times and modes of singing. It is first and foremost that, as I said, in Dimash singing is equivalent to the whole organism. I suppose sooner or later this should have happened in someone. It happened in this Kazakh boy. In summary: The other singers, all the other singers, perform a song. Dimash executes himself."

This is such an interesting take on the phenomenon that is Dimash. The other singer I have been following with amazement is Angelina Jordan, and the summary, contrasting singers "performing" a song with Dimash "executing himself" made me think of what is often said about Angelina as well -- Others perform a song; Angelina becomes the song. She does not have the pyrotechnic range of Dimash, or the stage presence and drama that he brings. Her voice is, however, completely mesmerizing in a different way.

it might also be interesting to compare (just compare for differences, not to find out which is best) several versions of the same song, eg for "adagio" the "original" (piano or orchestra) from around 1700, an old version by Lara and a new version by Dimash, or for "love is like a dream" the 25 year old original by a russian singer and the two versions by Lara and by Dimash (all three with the composer Igor at the piano). to further go down this rabbit hole, there are also older/original versions of ti amo cosi (with Lara and two other singers), of mademoiselle hyde (by Lara), or of sinful passion (original song by the band who play for Dimash's "cover").

Unfortunately, the amount of commenting in a reaction video has nothing to do with whether it will get flagged or not. It's a very political world and record labels want to keep the money from their tracks even if it qualifies under "fair use." That being said, the video may not get blocked per-say, but the KZbin most likely is not making money from these types of videos. Thanks for commenting and so happy you are enjoying my videos ☺️

Jess, I don't know how I didn't come across you earlier, as I've been Dimash addict (a "Dear") since April of 2019, when I became Dimashified upon stumbling onto SOS, in my KZbin music surfing. I'm really enjoying your reactions and analysis. I did a search of your channel and see you have not reacted to Sinful Passion which you HAVE to do! I know it seems impossible but it will blow your mind even more as he does some very unusual vocals which you'll love. Please do it! Also, you reacted to Autumn Strong, which is the Chinese version of a Japanese song called "Ikanaide". Dimash performs it, in PERFECT Japanese, in studio, in a video from the Tokyo Jazz Festival. Just search "Dimash Ikanaide Tokyo Jazz Festival" and you'll find it. I would love to get your reaction to that. Totally different setting than other Dimash videos and another killer emotional performance.

@Anson_AKB3 жыл бұрын
@@nguyen2 as much as i love detailed reviews with some details that i didn't hear yet from dozens of other reactors, and as much as i like the idea of getting this in the "original" (chronological) order, as annoying it will be having to wait another year (assuming "monthly dimash") until 12 more performances from "the singer" are done so that "newer" songs can follow, like ogni pietra, sinful passion, unforgettable day, ti amo cosi, etc. thus please either have more frequent Dimash reactions, or do some of the "newer" songs in between.
