HI Dina Norland I have a question if that's ok with you, Is the "The snow cat prince" be available on amazon once the Kickstarter funds ends. If not then will it be available on your store?

The pose you're talking abut is one of those classic pinup poses. Searching for Fur Coat Pinup will get you what you're looking for, and a good bit of stuff that you aren't. No links 'cause NSFW and all that.

Selkie are one of my favorite mythological beings, next to fauna and nagas/lamias. If you want to watch a nice movie, even though its directed towards kids, Song of the sea is a really good one about selkie

Just thought someone might like this, too.(At least if you like this type of myth and are into classical animated movies as I am) There's an animated movie called Song of the Sea from, I guess, Ireland which is losely woven around the selkie myth, which I found absolutely endearing. The score's pretty sweet, too 🥰

I've seen descriptions where they say selkies can assume the shape of a horse with a long'hair' and invite people on going on their back and they they drown people by jumping with them on their back into the water drowning them. It was interesting PS. I meant Kelpie it's a different creature but I love it

Anne McCaffery is an Irish author, she is most famous for her Dragon books but she has a series based on a sentient planet , “The powers that be” “Power Lines” There is a selkie character in those stories! You might give her a look see. . . I hope anyone else who might be interested go have a great read! Oh when I was in college one of my instructors had us put our watercolor boards into a convection oven, one with a fan and we would use it to force dry our watercolor paintings! I believe that a measly hairdryer would be a simpler drying method! Do what works! You can do everything you feel is necessary to finish your painting.

I was born in Newcastle! Well, technically just outside of it in Northumberland. I miss the Northumbrian Coastline. 😊 ❤️ There's actually a lovely channel on here run by a man who dives with some very special seals off the Northumbrian coast. If you're interested, search for 'Ben Burville'. She's beautiful, I love the way you gave her a 'Human Seal' face. 😊 My favourite story about Selkie's is 'Seal Skin, Soul Skin' in a book called 'Women who Run with the Wolves' by Clarissa Pinkola Estés. I highly recommend it. 😊

Hey Dina and fellow subscribers what is your favorite mythological creature and why? I think mine would be hybrids like a combo of a werewolf & vampire or a witch & vampire combo. I love the vampire dairies and the original so I think that’s where my soft spot for them started.

aaa here's something I do if the paper curls up/buccles. Put a cloth on top of it and just iron it XD idk if you could burn it accidentally or if the colros are affected? It never happened for me yet but I guess it depends on the heat of the iron, the cloth you use and the watercolors brand

So recently OverlySarcasticProductions did a compilation of animal bride stories, one such story was of a selkie. If you want to learn more about them you can go there. Mind you the stories are shortened as Red and blue tend to do summaries which does a good job of introducing topics to people and get them interested in doing their own research.

Hey Dina, gorgeous artwork as always. I just wanted to make you aware that the two sections at the end of seals are technically feet, that is why they have claws on the end it's the same for the two 'flippers' towards the head. They are in fact hands. Seals do have a tail it's rather short though and is in between the rear 'flippers'. You get a great view on this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/anyqmJ-Na8iLbMU I just wanted to make you aware in case you ever drew seals or selkies again. The art was amazing anyway despite this. I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.
