Tussy congrats on your marriage and I wish you a lot of health and hapiness together! I am pretty sure you had a tough time trying to be with your husband now thanks God together in a serious matter etc. especially due to the difference between religion and culture maybe a bit. Even if we feel comfortable with our partners our parents sometimes create problems but I am so glad you made it guys!

Dina!! Don’t be embarrassed by your cats destroying your furniture. It’s normal. It happens. However I do understand your annoyance especially if you’ve spent a lot of money on actual nice furniture pieces. There are ways to help them stop doing it , or at least stop doing it less. I have 5 cats and basically I just don’t get nice furniture. Hahaha some people get their cats scratch posts , some people get a spray bottle and spray water at their cat when the cat is like scratching the furniture or walking on the table. Obviously there is people who will say it’s cruel but honestly there is so many cats in the animal shelters that people really shouldn’t complain about something so harmless are using a little water to discourage a cat from doing some things you don’t want them to do. I personally don’t spray my cats really. The only time I really do is when they are all gathered by the door trying to sneak out but for whatever reason I don’t want them to go out like it’s dark out or it’s too cold. Basically once they learn water comes out of the bottle then eventually you won’t even need to spray it because when they see the bottle they will run away. Haha but I personally don’t care about having nice furniture. I have chairs they are unable to dig their claws into. Like a hard plastic chair. Or metal chairs work well too. Patio furniture which is not wood works well and you can always wash the cushions. Getting something they can use to scratch on is helpful. Whatever you do pleeaase don’t de-claw your cats. A lot of people declaw their cats to save the furniture and I just think furniture is really not worth cutting off what is the tips of their fingers. And it causes them to bite more anyways. It’s not good for the cat not good for people especially children around the cat. Cats with no claws bite more often. Although still I think removing claws is better than a cat sitting in a shelter for the rest of its life but I really disagree with declawing. The point of my long message is for you to feel not embarrassed about your kitties ruining your furniture. It’s so normal and common. :) there are ways to help it. But please don’t be mad at your kitties or cut off their finger tips.. They luv you :) and cats are awesome
