@@aynakotalaga I think you're right. Vivian was awesome but Goldy was hell on wheels, too. Edit: Yes, this is definitely Craig Goldy. Still killer, agreed! Anyway... besides the fact of the BC Rich Warlock guitar, I knew something was different about how the song was being played. It's right after Dio's "We are coming.... home!" Vivian definitely emphasized different parts of that rhythm guitar part than Goldy does here. It's subtle, and only lasts until the verse kicks in, but: Vivian trades off with the keyboards, whereas Goldy plays along with the keyboard part. matt kolenda I did. Back when MTV had their basement hits series. Our band "Touch" from RI, won the contest for most original band. Ronnie got a hold of this and invited the band to his upcoming show in Providence. He sent several tickets to the band. I was dating the bassists brother at the time, so naturally, he invited me. I had no idea I'd end up back stage meeting this man. After Ronnie concluded his business with our little band, he approached me and said, "so I've been told you're from Greece"? "When we're you brought over to the States"? And this conversation lasted for a half an hour. Ronnie was highly into Greek mythology.

I remember my young brother in law needed someone to take him and a friend to a concert and they would pay for their ticket. They wanted me to take them. I asked who they were going to see, they said Yngwie Malmsteen ! I was like what ever and then they said some other band is the main act. I said who's that and they said some band named DIO ! I was like I'm driving boys. They did nothing but talk about Malmsteen all the way there and while he played. Then Dio came on and I watched as their eyes were transfixed on this badass heavy metal singer and hard kickass band ! Needless to say they joined the DIO legion ! While leaving they bought DIO shirts but not one , Who the Fuck is Yngwie Malmsteen shirt, lmao !!! Dio greatest heavy metal singer ever and his band members were always the cream of the crop !!!

@Victor R. ...no I'm not stupid, you moron! If you don't like either Viv or Jimmy, then that's your prerogative. Unless you were with the band and knew their situation intimately, then you can talk. Who am I going to believe? Vivian, or you. Get a life.

Walking to school, small town, the seventh grade. Headphones on max, attempting to drown out the chaos, yelling and screaming reverberating still in my ears, from home. Dio and Rainbow in the dark saved my life. Nobody liked me in that school. It would have been nice even if just the teachers showed kindness. I remember feeling very ridiculed, feeling less than... but it didn't matter because I had metal. Metal said hey man you're cool. your alright and we're gonna have fun... to me anyway ...

@before120 I here you loud and clear! At one point I was in the hospital hoping my leg didn't get amputated as a direct result of the atrocities perpetrated upon me as a child! I left home at an early age and slept in my car that I was too young to own. 5 years later Headlining Madison Square Garden with my favorite singer performing songs that we wrote and recorded together!! Dreams Come True ! Things are not always as they seem! I hope things are better for you!! If not let me know, I've just been approved by the IRS for my 501c3 non-profit organization to be approved and maybe I can help you! Keeping Ronnie's ways with his fans alive!! God Bless You!! Let me know when you feel like it!!

Proud to say that I saw him several times .The first time with Black Sabbath on the Heaven and hell tour then Mob rules tour and then his solo career. I've seen many metal bands through the years but Ronnie still remains one of the most powerful singers I've ever seen . RIP Ronnie we miss you 💔

Seen him in concert in Louisville,Kentucky 1985. He said there isn't a lot of you out there but you make up the difference in loudness. By far the best concert ever been to. Great talent, good man gone too soon.

I'm about to piss alot of people off! I personally think that Ronnie James Dio has a way better voice than Ozzy. I met Ronnie when he was living here in Vegas shortly before he died. I've seen him in concert with Rainbow2x Sabbath 3x himself 6x Heaven and Hell3 . You know the strangest thing is??? I'm an African American man! I'm like a a Rainbow in the Dark!

That's what music does Dude it transcends racial , ethnic and religious lines. Wouldn't it be great if we all stopped hating each other for stupid and made up reasons and just get together and listen to music. That would be great but I'm afraid some moron would screw it up. Just so you know I'm a white guy that listens to Tone Loc. So I guess we're both out of place but who cares? Keep rocking Brother !!!! If you like Dio you should check out a band called Black Veiled Brides they're a cross between Dio and Motley Crue. Check out their video Fallen Angel here on you tube

@@williamwilliams293 I've been to over 500 concerts in my life. So I can tell you tales about me being the only black guy besides security in plenty of times. October 23-24 I saw Willie Nelson twice in concert and hung out with him from 1:45 PM until 12:15am both days. This last Friday and Saturday I saw Guns and Roses here in Las Vegas.
