As a self-diagnosed HOLO ADDICT this checked all my boxes! We call this a linear holo, that shows ribbons of rainbow. My personal favorite. This will look amazing over any color base really. FOr me this was Chefs Kiss! My only minor critique, is my personal preferene would be on a blue, green, violet shifting base instead. But again minor. Just blown away with this!

I love holographic shifts! In the nail polish world we call "holographic pearl" "linear holographic"; I have like 20 different shades of linear holographic nail polish. I used to beg my dad's friend who builds custom cars to do holographic effects on a car but the pigment was really expensive back then (early 2000s)

The paint is already in the gun and the optional speed shapes could be shown in the outro like the outtakes used to be..

I'd like to see this on all the bases lol. white, black, silver, gold, PASTELS, blue-purple, black cherry, root beer, green apple... this is the best I've seen you do yet and I've watched them all. MAYBE you could do an episode off a bunch of these on those little bumpy models you have or maybe a series of hoods? Not as rewarding as the whole cars but you could cover a lot of ground in one video. Then again, you may wish to stretch this one out over many episodes, it's guaranteed to be popular. You could take all the colour suggestions and put them in a fishbowl and surprise pick for the following episode! 🤔👍😁

Good call on the hyper shift base. The holographic effect would be higher contrast over black, but this shows what the pigment can do when it blends more with the base, it really is something special. Adding my vote to find *some* way to show this over lots of different bases, and specifically a purple of some kind.

Honestly, would love to see this on the sample molds over a spectrum of the hypershifts! It would be AWESOME to essentially see a pallet of combinations - like I'm REALLY tempted to save up money just to do a holo treatment on my own car, but I'd want to see what it might look like first. 😅 Linear holos like this can vary WILDLY in visual effect over different colors - the hypershifts especially. Of course you're gonna get the normal rainbow banding shimmer no matter what, but the vibe changes completely when spread over cooler or warmer spectrums because of which colors underneath are either highlighting/strengthening or contrasting the rainbow effect on top. Like in the video, the warmer spectrum was highlighted more because of the warmer base shift - its like its an orange-dominant rainbow. The rainbow is still there, but you're getting stronger warm hues and accented, contrasting cool hues. *So seeing it sampled across a spectrum of hypershifts would be SUPER COOL* , creative, unique, & be really nice and convenient for people (like me 😭) who are considering layering the holo over something interesting - aaand not wanting to feel like they've wasted their money because the color profile wasn't the one they intended 😅

I've seen pics of this pearl before, and was worried about the saturation when you said "ten per gallon" was the rec, but the final result is just... I'm not an orange fan, but this is MAJESTIC. Look at that ethereal copper glow refracting off the holographic pearls with spectacular ease, and be awed. Easy 5/5, but probably enough to break the scale for a 6/5 you know.

I hope you do more with this colour coz it really looks like its playing off the hypershift underneath and that makes me think that spraying it over a colour more central to the holo rainbow could be very interesting

Stunning rainbow sheen with that gold undercoat. This is oe of the better exceptional results you have done. Be interesting to see how it would look with other base colors. I give it a 5+.With 5 being the best.

I just discovered your channel yesterday. Not really a car person just obsessed with color and art generally. Been binging a bunch of your vids. Figure I'm one of thousands of comments so understandable if this flies past, but one of my favorite color combos is blue and gold. Sort of nazar-eye desert vibes. Dunno if it's been done before or how it might turn out, but would be super curious how something like ZTO over Persian Blue might look!
