If I'm rating based on its similarity to actual Midnight Purple, I'm going to have to say 2.5-3 out of 5. But if I'm rating based on how aesthetically pleasing it is, I'd have to say 5 out of 5 because I love how it looks

@@SubieNinja the luster of the finish is what adds the darkness and depth of the colour overall. It's close to Midnight Purple but it lacks the darkness and depth that makes it Midnight Purple. From what I've seen in pictures, as I've never seen it in person, at an angle it should appear to be almost black and when viewed straight on it should be a deep dark purple shrouded in a sheer black topcoat. It might not appear like that in person, and as I admitted that I have not seen it in person, but compared to the image they show in the video, they missed the mark as it's a more vibrant blueish purple covered by a deep but still vibrant purple. And that doesn't detract from the fact that the outcome of the colour is still absolutely beautiful and I'd happily cover any vehicle with it.

I knew from the very beginning I was going to like this color - purple is my jam. This is a strong 5 - I don't care about it matching the actual MPIII - but it does well enough at that too. Fantastic!

Perfect colour match tbh Fonzie. Having owned a Midnight Purple 3 R34 for 4 years i would say that was 90% Accurate. Knowing how hard it was to colour match you could spray it 10x and get diffrent results so seeing how good that looks in peelable paint is awesome! Great Job!

id say its 3, its more like midnight blue tbh. this color is primarily blue with purple and amber shift compared to the midnight purple that is primarily purple with blue and amber shifts. id still love to see it in person though knowing how the camera most likely does not do the paint justice.

Love it! My rating is going to be 4️⃣. I feel like having a white base to start with instead of black, would’ve made the purple POP out more. IMO!! the color still came out amazing, but i personally feel like the purple could’ve been brighter/ more vibrant.

White base wouldn't have worked as this was a colored pearl. A white base would have required an interference (white powder) pearl. Thanks for watching though I do appreciate it!

@@dipyourcar appreciate if you guys can answer my question that I've asked few times already. When doing plasti dip on your wheels, do you just spray over the lug nuts? What happens to the dip on the nut if you have to remove your wheel to rotate your tires? Will it peel off?

@@allboutthemojo in my experience it holds fairly well until a socket or anything that will start the peeling process makes contact. I personally buy a set of lugs I like and go that route or you could have them powdered or painted.

4.5/5 I think you nailed it! I saw some ambers on the car (not a lot) but they are there. I clearly saw the amber at the 4:08 mark in the glass beaker. Amber, green, blue, and purple hues are all there. This one is great, good job guys!

One of my only gripes with this channel is dirty window glass, wheels and tires. Super clean glass and some tire wet would make those awesome paint jobs pop even more. Going to Dip my car and truck but you just keep dropping such awesome mixes I just can't decide! Oh yeah I'd give that a 5 and add it to the list of colors that crush.

4 On the midnight purple 3 front it's just a little too bright, need a little more midnight. The color tone is spot on. As a color I would mix this with the teal to blue pearls and holographic flakes. Loved it!

This is Midnight BLUE 3! Gorgeous!!! It needs deeper purple tones to be called Midnight Purple 3. A solid 4 for MPIII and a solid 5 for MBIII.

That is sick man. Damn close to the original bro , props on that👍. As an R34 fanboy I've done a lot of research on this color specifically , the original midnight purple 3 paint goes down as follows( don't own a r34 midnight purple 3, yet, so guys please correct me if I'm wrong) it's a white base coat followed by a lighter blue, somewhat like the Bayside blue , then the pearl and clear. I'm no expert on paint by any means but I do believe that if you're willing to do this again and do it in that specific order you will have a bang on 95-100% color match.

wow!!! ill rate it 4.9 because its an awsome color the .1 down is if you can notice between the original gtr color and this one you get about 5% stronger blue on direct point of view. MP2 is the best paint color of all time, MP3 has that amber in it and it brings it back to most all color shift bases because of it. I like MP 2 so much I have used it on custom PC rigs, wheel base components, things in the shop, tool boxes etc.

Midnight Purple 1& 2 are the crazy reds, blues to green. Midnight Purple 3 is just blue to purple. The flakes extremely fine, micro flake. I would of shot this over a deep purple as a translucent coat to help it pop. Over black it depends on complete coverage, more material which loses depth this color needs. All that said, holy crap Fonzy this looks amazing!!!
