If you're talking about the recommended video thumbnails that partially block the screen near the end of videos, they're usually called _end cards._ The channel uploader chooses whether or not to include them. Unfortunately, they sometimes don't notice (or don't care) that the end card thumbnails block important content near the end of videos. If you're using a browser to view KZbin videos, there _are_ ways to turn off all KZbin end cards using a browser console command. Google: "turn off youtube end cards"

That's one of the greatest air shows I've ever seen. Even better, after going past the runway and letting the plane get blown back to the centerline, the pilot began centering the plane on the runway just before they touched down, so the passengers in the rear of the plane didn't get whiplash the moment the wheels hit the runway. Telephoto length not angle. The hardest thing about landing after an extended flight is changing one’s mindset from cruise thinking to descent considerations to landing considerations. Each phase demands change in thought processes. That is the real challenge for the crew.
@flyingviking21494 жыл бұрын
J. Griff Griffin it’s the angle of the camera to the runway. They are no parallel. I used to work at an airport where the runway and FBO weren’t parallel either. It would mess with the minds of new students or people watching the landings as the planes on final looked like they were headed straight for the building instead of the runway. This is a normal cross wind landing with an optical illusion caused by the angles.

They fly as close to the same conditions as military pilots who complete missions regardless of winds and obstacles. Crop duster pilots get the job done flying over ground with power lines, unmarked standpipes,trees ect. and do it regardless of the prevailing winds.

Sure, some optical illusion makes that piece of magnificent flying even more interesting, but chapeau to you Captain. Absolutely flawless landing in cross wind conditions.
@JohnPepp Жыл бұрын
There was a little bit of an optical illusion, but the pilot also drifted towards the correct runway. There's must had been a strong crosswind and by the description the video I would assume crosswinds are pretty common at that airport.

This is simply amazing. The plane was hit by very dangerous crosswind. Because of this fatal crosswind the plane could have been skidded or slipped away from the runway and the plane could have been crashed. The captain of the plane was very, very skilled to control and to save the plane from possible crash.

@mangoszki45314 жыл бұрын
I see what you mean. The pilot is crabbing the aircraft on final because of the amount of crosswind blown from the left side, to prevent the 787 veering right. Quite fun from my experience flying.
@dylannguyen50994 жыл бұрын
They do this to fight against the crosswind if they went straight like what they normally would the plane will be pushed off the runway

@HoustonGamerTVHGTV3 жыл бұрын
@@mangoszki4531 to line up with the runway, you would use the wing low sideslip method. The pilot should line the nose, or longitudinal axis of the plane with the runway. Using the rudder would make the plane drift from the center line of the runway. So a bank would be used to keep the plane's nose aligned with the runway and the longitudinal axis is aligned with the center line of the runway. Experienced pilots wait until right before touchdown to do the sideslip, but newer pilots should start the sideslip earlier on In the approach.
