My favorite products under $3: • Wet n Wild eyeshadow in Brûlée • NYC Sky Rise mascara • Jordana powder blushes • ELF All Over Color Sticks • Wet n Wild Mega Length mascara • Essence kajal pencil in Taupe Me! (as eyebrow pencil; discontinued) • Wet n Wild Idol Eyes creme shadow pencils • Beautique defining lip pencils • Wet n Wild Cover All concealer stick in Light (too pink for my skin, but makes a great eyeshadow base) • NYC Kiss Glosses (I think they're also discontinued) I also have the Wet n Wild Silk Finish and Mega Last lipsticks, and while they're decent, I feel like the former could be a little more moisturizing, and I've had a couple that have broken, or melted from keeping them in my pocket. The latter feels a bit heavy on the lips. Both have somewhat flimsy packaging.

Don't feel too bad because when I purchase certain eye shadows on Amazon in the UK, what costs them $6 or $7 will cost me or the U.S. $9 or $10. It depends on it's worth in that country also what the American dollar is worth next to a Canadian or UK dollar. :(

You can re-make your crushed/broken powder eyeshadows. Just add a few drops of rubbing alcohol. All of the shadow has to be broken down into a powder. Once you add the alcohol gently press it to flatten it out and let it dry overnight. I did this when I dropped one of my favorite shadows and broke it. Works like a charm.

BH Cosmetics are AMAZING!!! U have to go to their website but I got a huge order & I mean HUGE for a little over $100 & bc they're always having sales I saved $100. I got they're 120 color eyeshadow palette 1st edition, a nude palette with 2 blushes, a highlighter 6 eyeshadows & 2 lip glosses, a foundation, an amazing primer,a waterproof eyeshadow primer, make-up remover wipes, a bronzer, 2 sets of false eyelashes, a 36 piece professional brush set, 3 waterproof eyeliners, a false eyelashes applicator, an eyebrow pencil & 1 extra brush. That was all $100! & they have contests all the time on KZbin & I won an eyeshadow palette called the "Eyes on the 80's" palette. U just have to subscribe to their YT channel. Love Jordanna liners! Love W&W shadow trios/quads but need more neutrals/mattes. Don't care for W&W singles they totally lack in performance & pigment & they're too shiny. Has anyone tried Black Radiance shadow Palettes?They perform better than many high end brands. Only drawback is no mattes. $4.99 for 8 super pigmented shadows! Well worth the $-CVS.

For the $1 ELF palette, you can actually remove the plastic on top and the whole bottom silver part is magnetic. You can add your favorite depotted makeup to it, it'll be great for travel! Tiny, inexpensive version of the Z Palette :)

Comparing costs to Indonesia and PI is a bad comparison. Everything costs more in the US because most our consumer products are imported from Asia. So $2.50 for false eyelashes is dirt cheap, but sometimes the quality is just as cheap too.

There's no reason to splurge on cosmetics and skincare anymore. The skincare that claims to be worth 100-300 dollars and more are always gimmicky, and usually worse for your skin than drugstore brands like Olay, Neutrogena, and Cerave. The high end makeup can perform great, but so can their drugstore equivalents, for far less money.

Skincare part: sure Cosmetics: definitely not the case. Not to undermine the drugstore, but most high end products I get work phenomenally and are so long lasting. Foundations and eyeshadow palettes are almost always better at high end stores.

Liner, I go to the drugstore, same with blush, but other products like brows I'm more leaning towards high end. Dollar tree has brow pencils that are amazing- 2 for a buck with a sharpener. I never see blonde or red though. If you have dark brows- the pencils are awesome. Better than my Mac brow pencil. So don't knock cheaper products. You just haven't stumbled onto nice ones. :-)

Danni Hauler Oh for sure! In no way am I knockin the drugstore, as I myself am even pressed for extra money all the time. But saying that there's no use in buying high end ever is a little far fetched too. If you truly want some of the best products out there, they can be a bit pricy, and that's not bad. Just as it's not bad to find something that's cheap and wonderful. Also, the Anastasia Beverly Hills brand is sublime when it comes to brows. I love my ELF eyebrow kit (have it in medium) but I know that for a polished and perfect look, my Dipbrow Pomade is just great. So, both places have their benefits, one isn't better than the other.

I have the NYC lipstick in Waldorf Roses and I love mixing the two colors together! You should check that out! I'm also impressed with my one dollar Elf eyeshadow brush. I've had it for years and I still use it to this day. It also never shed on me unlike my Crown brushes. Amazing!

I'm getting that Nutty, you're the second person who's mentioned it. I actually have the Brulee-it's so old it's in their old round packages. I just recently tried Elf's brushes, & I was really surprised-they're great little brushes! I picked up the $1 shadow blending brush, & I LOVE their concealer brush so much! Neither of them shed, & are soft, which I wasn't expecting. Alot of people say the concealer brush is too small,but I prefer small brushes for the most part,but even people that say that say its a great lip or smudge brush. And their angled liner brush is great as well!
