While i'm waiting for Codemasters to release WRC 23. I thought I should review one of my favourite games. I will tell you why you need to play this.

No bro you can't enjoy Dirt Rally 2.0! You have to play RBR with ancient graphics because it has 0.00001% better physics! LMAO! I'm not hating on RBR but people criticising DR2.0 are so annoying. It's a game! It should be fun! Who cares about some tiny physics detail that is not realistic?!

Typical Arcade racer comment ! RBR is after 19 years the one and only real Rally sim ! The rest is merely arcade games for kids with horrible physics and damage ! And that is NOT an opinion it's a fact !

@@tobbebergman7583 as long as people are having fun playing what there playing that’s all that matters. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. I’ve never tried RBR so I can’t compare. I’ve done serious racing and I just want to have fun now. Thanks for the comment. I always like hearing what everyone thinks. :)

Tiny !!! ??? Physics wise it's a monumental difference! Both physics and damage is a joke in all Codemasters games. The userbases are also completely different, the RBR crowd are usually people who have driven a real car while the DR crowd are usually kids who's never driven a real car! Go figure ;)

Dirt 2 is a good game while rbr is a simulator, it feels scary to drive in a good way and its hard. It depends in what you are into

My dream has always been to have this games physics and handling in a free roam map. But no one wants that level of difficulty, sadly.

Glad you pulled it off the dusty shelf. This is the game got me started sim racing. After 2 solid years if league racing in Dirt I recently started ACC and iRacing. Kudos to Codemasters for this gem!

This is my all time favourite racing game! I think I have about 800 hours in it (and I still don't consider myself very good). It really takes 100% focus, so rolling a few times while trying to record a video is to be expected.. In my experience, there is a bit of a learning curve, especially before you get a hang of the notes, but when you manage to pull off a good run, and nail all the handbrake turns: most satisfying sim racing I've experienced!

Having finished Dirt 4.0 (removed from sale now) native on the Mac, I moved to this recently running the Windows version in Crossover 23 on a Mac M1 Max 32c GPU. You have to turn DXVK off to get shadows correct but set graphics at low and it still looks great and I get 140+ fps on 1440p. Although Wreckfest is my favorite driving game of all time, this is my favorite for more of the real sim and sense of accomplishment. It demands full concentration. I wish I had this when I was a teen to learn how to take turns and especially recover in a slide.

I think why it doesn't get the love is because to be competitive you must work a lot harder than on road to win.. it's very intense and also you only are against the clock time.. and if course the trees and cliffs

I forgot the stage name. It was Finland and it was the only one with 20m of elevation change though. You could probably find it by that. Yeah I definitely need stronger force feedback!

Yes it’s because the states are so big in EA Sports WRC. The developers were saying it’s either big long stages or amazing graphics. The technology isn’t there to have both
