The awesome thing about doing it this way is that the action of someone's foot in the murk doesn't create vacuum pockets that suck discs out of site and the jets blow the silt away rather than poking at it with a stick which covers it up.

do you think it would be easier to grab the discs, if the claw could be rotated? I only ever see claws that open/close in horizontal position..

PS_ I'd love to get one of those myself, but the local lakes here are way too muddy most of the time for a ROV to be useful :/

The claw can't be rotated on this model. However because the claw tips are offset it even horizontal works pretty well to grab disc's still.

@@siah-naraa As a disc golfer, I do believe that you should try to return discs, but if anyone tried to return something from the bottom of a lake, they'd be a border-line saint. Like, I would love some of my lost water discs back, but unless they were really close to shore, I have 0 expectation of that ever happening. Edit: my 18-foot pole with a hook at the end is far from a fancy drone, so I have limited expectations.
