I'm a non atonement Disc, my renew usually sits at 20-30% of my overall heal output. Am i losing out by not using atonement or is a full heal build still valid?

Anyone know if there is a macro that has 1) Holy Fire and Smite in 1 keybind and 2) Always prioritizes casting Holy Fire over Smite?

Blizz tries to discourage that type of rotation automation macro in the api. You have to use two separate binds.

You can use a modifier, like shift, control, alt; but otherwise, no.

spirit>crit>mastery>haste I might swap back into inspiration for t12 prog depending on how hard the tanks get hit, havent done any testing in firelands yet so idk what itll look like exactly.

Does PoH do the same to everyone i.e. it hits 1 person and whatever it hits them for it'll heal everyone for the same? The reason why I ask is because Shaman get Spark of life (Ele sham mostly get it and resto) and it increases healing received by 15% which is pretty huge

No, every instance of the heal on each party member and pet rolls separately for crits, player based effects like spark, etc.

Its finicky and depends on the boss hitbox size. Not aware of an addon that tracks whether or not youre in atonement range but theres probably a weakaura out there that will do it. Its not THAT big a deal and a lot of fights you cant really help being in range and have to stand in the stack.

How do you think about binding buffs to common spells to just keep them on CDs (evangelism - inner focus - trinkets - gloves etc)

Personally i'm currently learning on my fresh 85 disc and i have evangelism and gloves macro'd together. inner focus + gloves would somewhat make sense, too, but ultimately it's not ideal. i do keep them bound individually, too, and plan on incorporating them into my play once i'm more comfortable with the basics.

I bind gloves to archangel (gloves before arch to get the extra int before the 5% mana). You can macro inner focus to GH/POH/Flash heal without much loss but I prefer to manually cast it personally. I also have a manual bind for gloves/trinkets. If you find yourself not using them enough on logs macroing them and getting more uses that are less optimal is almost always better though. Uptime is king.

No, flash heal still has its place as an emergency single target heal and does higher throughput to one target.

I run this with a flex point: www.wowhead.com/cata/talent-calc/priest/233210221213200310021-033-3 I dont run inspiration after prog because our tanks never die, cant decide whats actually bis for the last point. on prog id run 2/2 inspiration over one in imp greater heal/flash heal and potentially short fiend if the fight length was perfect for it.

On fights where youre spamming chain lightning on low targets like twins you can sometimes just rng not proc enough fulmination and go oom. Not as big of an issue with higher gear now tho.
