In 2012 I bought an identical LV, the one you are repairing. It suffered wear on the sides and I had it fixed. It was a disaster! They sewed a vaqueta on top with coarse and crooked seams. It looked horrible! Many thanks for this vídeo.A strong hug

Would you recommend someone who owns a vintage LV multicolor piece (2003 with the red interior) to get the spots of red that bled through into the white part of the canvas touched up professionally? I know this is common and known defect of this collection but unsure if it devalues the bag or if it’s better left as is

If the exterior of the bag has red showing then you should definitely fix it. Any discoloring greatly devalues the bag. You can probably just fix it yourself because these shops will charge and arm and a leg for it. The bags fixed here are almost always repaired for sentimental reasons not finical as its basically always cheaper just to purchase a new one. I mean this bag was probably purchased for at least $1000 new a few years ago and retail’s today at around $1.5K+ so spending an additional $1000 on the repair makes it a total of around $2K invested in a $1.5K bag. Its completely just the value of holdings onto a bag that you love because you are losing a lot of money. Plus even after repairs nobody is paying retail for a used bag, especially something as common as a Neverfull or a Speedy.

The multicolore collection is great but I never understood why they did red on the inside of the white and tan on inside of black. I'd be very careful cleaning it, I have a black one and I used pure ethanol and a qtip to clean any marks on the black but not anywhere near the color. You could try ipa to start with but if ethanol won't remove it I wouldn't go any futher (and of course spot check) good luck 👍

How do you mend scratches on leather from a rose thorn? 😅

LV replaces the vachetta with new untreated vachetta and the aging process of the pale leather will start from the beginning. What was your idea in spraying the leather with colour? Will it stay the same honey colour? Will you this way prevent the leather from getting very dark?

Our services are bespoke, meaning we work closely with our customers to achieve their preferred style. This colour was her preferred shade for the Vachetta. The colour will be maintained as long as the leather doesn't come into contact with contaminants like moisturisers etc 👜✨
