I remember being lent a jacket one summer evening when dropping by for a drink with a girl friend, spur of the moment type thing, going down Sherbrooke towards 1234 De la Montagne (c. 1978-79); it was the best disco/nightclub in the city until the early 1980s. The Piano bar, Café de Paris, Le Jardin, all great locations for those occasions that warranted easy elegance. You knew what to expect, and, were never disappointed. Even worked there for a while when at Uni.

The background music at the start of the video, up to 2:12 must be changed! The "hypno-wave" imbedded is nauseating. Unfortunately you cannot mute the sound because of the narration. After that it's fine. And thanks for the great informative documentary on this great Montreal landmark!
