Romania Cheryl-Tweedy 36 lived through two bombings of the wtc . I watched them try once and fail,and then succeed many years later. They tried the first time in the 90s and my grandfather worked there for the liquor authority. I'm thankful he was retired by the time they succeeded in taking them down. Terrible tragedy that I believe nobody could of avoided especially when it involved people in our own government.

That's a common belief, that the firefighters knew they were going to die. But, honestly, I don't think they expected the buildings to come down. It had never happened before. Yet, it takes a lot of courage to do what they did and they deserve to be remembered as heroes

The signs are everywhere that satanic secret organizations are currently making their final moves to control all of mankind. This is all in the Bible and it is all 100% accurate even though it was written thousands of years ago...Coincidence? I don't think so. My husband and BIL helped with the clean up. I had so many people in my family involved in 9/11 thankfully I didn't loose anyone. So sorry for loss. One uncle was in building both times. I first time he was covered in black soot. They live in Queens. My aunt didn't even knew it happened till he was home. This time when he came home he was covered in White ash and she was crying when he walked in the door. He is still alive at 75 but has been through a lot being sick all the time including Covid. My brother still hasn't talked about his experience leaving NYC to get back to Huntington LI. I have a lot of other stories too but too long to explain just happy everyone I know was fortunate to be able to come home. Also another uncle who is a police sergeant who was at the disaster and rescue for weeks. He then retired and got a lot of accommodations for serving there. So many stories from fanily and friends.

@4UStevePerry: I read your comment and would read more if you documented them. Every year - I watch all of the broadcasts about 911 and I binge watch videos about it periodically throughout the year. I think it is so important to remember and learn about as many people as possible that were innocent victims and are no longer here to live out their lives. It could just as easily have been any one of us.

Thank you and your sons for sharing your story. I feel like I have to watch it again and again every year. You can't ever forget what happened. Condolences to your family. I stopped by the WTC Memorial a few months ago and said a little prayer for Kevin Dowdell. I was simply paying my respects in general to the heroes and victims of that horrendous day - slowly moving around the perimeter wondering about all the people - I caught his name carved in the bronze lip surrounding the Pools. I was stopped because we share the same last name. While simply sharing a somewhat uncommon name is a tangential connection at best, I wondered about Kevin's life and family. Obviously, he was a good father and husband. And, together as parents, both mother and father raised a wonderful family. May you continue to find peace and solace in your memories. Never forget.

Very sad. Firefighters are true heroes. Everyone should still be angry about this, but that anger should be directed on getting facts correct, investigating, and holding every last person responsible for this horrible event accountable. it's because saddam got on all-jazeer tv and threatened to use oil as a weapon of mass destruction to the United States he said that he wanted to shut off his Iraqi oil supply to the United States, and was asking for all of his Arab nations to join him and bush was like "i don't think so". so bush had to figure out some way that he could invade Iraq, and take full control of saddam,s oil, and acquire the support of the international community to do so and down came the towers the United States has had full control of Saudi oil every since

The last name DOWDELL is, indeed, something to be proud of. A nanny named Elizabeth Dowdell was employed by a family to accompany their only daughter Virginia to America on the Titanic. During the commotion they were separated (both survived) and Elizabeth basically traced that entire ship searching for her charge. Look at her Wikipedia page....good name Dowdell...must run in their genes.
@2degucitas8 жыл бұрын
+lucy girl The name comes from Douglas the Black, who famously took the heart of Robert the Bruce into battle during the early crusades. My last name is McDowell, which is a variant. The names Douglas, Dougal, Dowall, Dowell, Douhil, MacDougall, McDowell, Dowd, Doud, etc are names taken out of fealty (a name taken out of respect for) or a name because of being related. Some names were clan names, taken to establish where a person was born or their family was born. I believe Dowdell is a variant of these names, so you see that strong Scottish bravery goes deep.

*I wasn’t even alive when this happened* and every time I see something or hear about 9/11, it’s so hard not to cry. I visited the 9/11 museum and memorial on my trip to New York City this past summer and it was what stuck with me the most. It felt like I was actually there that day. It also pains me to see all these people claiming that it was hoax or it was an event perpetrated by the US government, but all they’re doing is shitting out these bogus explanations as to why the towers couldn’t have collapsed, even when simulations show that they would have in the exact way that they did. All they’re doing is taking the spotlight away from the true heroes of that day and putting it on something so small minded and dull.

most people are not aware that it is the families of people who were killed on that day who started the "inside job" "new investigation" movement after repeatedly having their concerns and questions about about the death of their loved ones that day ignored and kept from public view. i feel sorry for people who refuse to see the clear proof of deception and lies from our officials and government. even the men who did the "official report" of the attack said that they were not told the truth of what happened and had evidence kept from their investigation. they said the outcome of the investigation was predetermined before it began. read the report with open mind and follow the evidence. at the very least it will bring a lot of questions about what you were told. then research your questions and you will then know why us people feel the way we do about 9/11.

So many heroes of that sad day. I watched those planes hit the towers and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I thought... this couldn’t be happening in my country. Prayers for the woman in this video, she’s brave! And blessings for her family too

It was a block away. That means ODowd was higher up in the tower when it went down, throwing the axe down the street. RIP brave hero.

1 John 3:16 By this we know what love is: Jesus laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. No Greater Love 12This is My commandment, that you love one another as I loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 10:11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep Romans 5:7 It is rare indeed for anyone to die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die.

+Jessie Lansdel Excuse me but as a First responder and having lost my own Brother, and the ELEVIN Men from Eng.24/Ladder 5, that day and seen thousands of others die since , I think you should STFU !!!! The only way they or I will ever rest in PEACE is if the real TRUTH IS EXPOSED and the Evil Men Responcible are Punished and this kind of an EXCUSE to kill MILLIONS is never ever repeated AGAIN !!!!!!!!
