well she isn't from Disgaea, she was character originally was suppose to have her own game, but it didn't happen, think of Asagi like Neptunia, basically being never released neptune console, pretty depressing, only difference is Neptunia in her series they allowed her to be known but reality sega was no longer in console war anymore.

Which is ironic because she's been taking ALMOST ALL of the VA work as Asagi, meaning she primarily plays the Asagi role at this point. In contrast to where in Japan, she has a different VA for EVERY appearance.

I love Asagi soooooooooooo much. When she said she couldn't stand being alone anymore, I wished there was a kidnap option in the game to just get her in the party already. xD Also, this VA is my favorite one out of all the people who dubbed her - maybe because the first time I fought Asagi was in Soul Nomad, and this was her voice in said game.

Plot hole- Why did Asagi not recognise Flonne? In Prinny 2's Asagi Mode, she interacted with her in memorable ways which judging by this led to her giving up on her dream of being main character. Flonne should be fairly prominent in her memory.

6year late but whatever . Each ending of Disgaea Hour of Darknes(PS2) is canon, and each of it go to another series and another Universe . For example, the ending when Laharl sacrifice hisself: going to Prinny story which one the one you referring to Sorry for bad english anyway '3'

Actually, since Disgaea D2 takes place before Disgaea 2, 3, and 4, but after Disgaea Infinite, she can't have given up on her dream to be the main character of her own game, if anything her dream is still in it's early stages. Before the events in Disgaea D2, Asagi wanted to be the main character in the epilogue ending of Disgaea Infinite, so she already has the dream to become the main character... Maybe she thinks that if she can become a Super Idol or the Overlord, she'll get her own game.

Well, Prinny 2 is a sequel to Prinny: Can I Really be the Hero, which is a spinoff of the Disgaea series that's actually based on the Makai Senki Disgaea anime ending, and not the canon ending for Disgaea Hour of Darkness. As such Prinny: Can I Really be the Hero, Prinny 2, and the Asagi Mode in Prinny 2 aren't actually part of the official Disgaea canon... they follow a separate timeline from the main Disgaea series...

Very small nitpick- how come Asagi didn't realise Laharl was a main character? Yes she's given up on that dream now, but she probably still "wants" it badly enough that were a realistic opportunity to arise she'd go for it.
