for anyone who's still getting wr3 instead of sentai or having trouble with the timing, its alot easier if you just run forward and keep holding forward until you reach your opponent, then press 3. its because the game will stop your run as soon as you reach them and youll get f3. the timing is alot easier if you just focus on waiting until your run stops rather than letting go and pressing f3

You can also do a back-forward 3 input. There is no back forward 3 so the last input before 3 will be registered from standing state and you get f3

I still occasionally get Rage Art misinput whenever I try doing her forward 1+2 because it thinks I'm trying to do a forward crouch. I don't see any way to disable that option though. I really don't care for rage or heat in this game.

Thank you for sharing this!!! I was trying to label setups for ff3 after heat is expelled and I found out a deep dash into cd3 would hit them but I didn’t know about the limits of their options for other flips just like this It makes that 12 frame punish that much more frightening

... ahh, I saw a clip of this back grab tech some time ago, but nice to see the Mist step into Sentai tech that I mentioned a while back is finally getting some recognition. ... since i've been naturally using it to cover more ground, that'll certainly be the way I approach this Oki situation. ... it's just been too buttery smooth not to use.

From what I can tell they can do sideroll>backwards getup to basically avoid this entire mixup, they only get hit in the back if they get up straight Or is there some option I'm missing?

This will not work with CD3 because you can tech roll out of it even though the knockdown is the same for some reason.

ALERT: VERY SITUATIONAL INEFFECTIVENESS. It's a really nice and interesting tech. I need to try this BUT ineffective against bears, as they just can transition directly from face down into Hunting stance by pressing 3+4 or 1+2 into Hunting. 1+2 is fine because we get 50/50 Reina and Kuma have good neutrals. HOWEVER, if i would got hit by 221 facing down knowing you'll do this, I'll wait both running or dash and CD to press 3+4. If you're going Sentai grab or Sentai 3, you'll get launched by 1+2 from Hunting and side swap into combo 😊. And if you do CD 3 , Bears will just press 3+4 a second time😮, which is an armor hit knockdown. I'm thinking about Alisa also i think she will just go jets to avoid this tech.

Yo so I naturally picked up the cd3 tech with this, HOWEVER I NEVER THOUGHT TO USE SENTAI TO TRAP MY OPPONENT. Welcome to hell. Situations like these are what made my Heihachi deadly. I want to force you into TERRIBLE wake-up situations.

Just tested it and it still works rn. just run up as close as you can to the opponent and you should stop running, do F3 into 1+3 and it should then work.
