Annual Park tickets are included with their HOA fees. I believe they get 2 per year. So technically they pay for them but they don’t have to purchase separately.

They definitely get 4, but they do expire after 5 years. But they do get 15 single day admissions in perpetuity included in their HOA fees so that point of the video is wrong.

They have a website where you can see the homes. They're full of Disney details like ears in the crown moulding and other movie imagery in the tiles, woodwork, fireplaces, etc etc. You can customize it to your character preferences, too.

As a main entrance cast member, i scanned bands and tickets. II was told they get a gold maingate pass. That allows them and their guests access to the parks.

I get the feeling that most of these houses are not primary residences, but I don't have anything to back it up.. It's like the people that have an apartment in Manhattan, a condo in Veil, and a beach house in Venice..

Some families do live there as their primary residence, but you're right, others treat them as weekend, winter, summer getaway spots. Others, it might just be the retired parents living there fulltime, with the kids/grandkids always popping in to visit for a few days/weeks/months at a time.

I use to live in Bay Hill in 1998 and we would see the fireworks show every night from our house. I don’t know if they still do that fireworks show but it was pretty cool.

Hi! As someone who lives there, what she’s saying is all true! We don’t get special access just because we live in the Disney neighborhood, but my family goes and pays for our own tickets about twice a month.

I don't know about now, but when these homes were first built, one of the stipulations was that you can't rent out the homes for a period of less than 6 months. So no airbnb or vacation rentals. This is an exclusive neighborhood that costs tens of thousands a year to live there, they don't want a bunch of random traffic through that neighborhood. And it will lower the security and exclusivity of living there.

As someone who's been following the Golden Oak village since the beginning almost, let me expand on the club 33 membership myth a bit. Now, one of the ORIGINAL selling points of the Golden Oak houses was a one year membership to club 33 at WDW, and WDW only, when you bought one of the brand new houses, and not one of the resales, I don't know for how long this went on, or even if it went beyond the first few homes. Now the current UNCONFIRMED rumor is that those who own homes in Golden Oaks are on a separate waiting list for Club 33 access that bypasses the main waiting list, BUT ONLY if the house owners ask for a chance for Club 33 access. So yes, the video is correct that just owning a home in Golden Oaks doesn't automatically grant you access to Club 33, but they were incorrect in not mentioning that owning a Golden Oaks home increases your chance of becoming a Club 33 member (though that is a pricey membership, both the initial cost, and the annual fees to remain a member)

Non-coastal CA homes cost about the same as FL/TX, but ppl don’t understand that. Home prices in COASTAL Cali are high bc 1. major industries w high paying jobs/5th largest economy in the world; 2. excellent weather; 3. outstanding higher educational institutions (CalTech, UC, Stanford, USC, etc.).

@@brownskinnbabygurl I think it might have to do with their original independent tax status that if I remember correctly they had to have a residential component in order to maintain it. But I’m not positive on that. It just takes up a lot of land for what. Could have been another park or resorts

I paid nearly $5K for nearly a weeks stay so that's around $250K a year DDP included lol. We go about every 4-5 years and splurge because you're not taking it with ya.

Average home price in Orlando is 385k, and that's up a considerable amount post-COVID. People from CA have been moving to my state of TN at record numbers after discovering home prices here, thereby doubling our home prices over the last few years.

What I don’t understand is how you wouldn’t get sick of it after awhile. Granted I’m speaking as someone who isn’t a local (and also as someone who has a less than favorable opinion of the company rn), but it seems like the “specialness” would wear off eventually. Maybe that’s just me.

I mean it's still nice homes, even if you never go to the parks. And while there's a lot to criticize Disney for, they do keep things clean and well maintained. As for the parks, there's always new stuff going on, so a lot of locals often just stop by for a meal or an event

Only 2 mil? I'm about to pay way more than that for an apartment in a neighborhood I don't even like in Brooklyn. Golden Oak here I come! JK I could never live in such a backward state.
