@@LucianDevine So all grapplers should do is stand down on their knees and wait for the inevitable, that their opponents have to grapple with them, because of the rules? It's just stupid. @ZombifiedBuizel5 жыл бұрын
Toasted Fan Art I landed on my balls with my full body weight. I was 10 or 11 at the time. I was at a playground with my father. Fort Discovery was what it was called. It was a huge wooden structure. It had a few slides, bridges, chains (they had rubber tubes on them) to climb on, monkeybars, swings...the works. I was climbing up a chain ramp. It had wooden banisters on both sides to hold on to. The chain was one long chain down the middle and like ten or so short chains going across. I got about halfway up the ramp. Now I have climbed that thing numerous times without any trouble before. I slipped and both feet fell on both sides of the middle chain. I landed hard on my balls with my full body weight. I was in so much pain. I had the air knocked out of me. That chain had very minimal give to it. I’m hanging there with my balls under me with neither foot able to reach the ground. I tried to pull myself up but the pain was too much. I tried to push up off the chain but I had no strength. I had two choices to climb out. Lean back relieving the pain and risk sliding down and cracking my skull on the platform at the bottom or lean forward making the pain worst and pulling myself to the top. I went forward. I made it and lied there for several minutes. Finally I was able to get up. I was afraid to check if they were still there. I’m not trying to sound tough but I didn’t cry at all not because I was trying to be tough but because I couldn’t actually cry. I was in so much pain that I couldn’t physically cry. I walked it off and continued playing. I’m glad my dad or anyone else hadn’t see that. When I went home I checked to see if they were okay. They were both fine and not bruised thankfully. This might attribute to the fact that my voice is slightly higher pitched now. Take note my voice had already broke before that happened.

Muskoka Mike Lol what a way to ruin the mood. She ruined her chances of getting laid. I accidentally nailed my cousin in the balls when we were play fighting. He ended up getting me on the ground. He was 6ft some inches and I’m 5ft 6in. He trapped me between his legs. I was trying to roll back to get my feet hooked around his legs so I could knock him down. As I tried to wrap my legs around I extended my legs too early and kicked him in the goodies before my legs even fully got passed his crotch. He got alittle mad and I tried to appogize.

It was hilarious. Mainly because he retreated in an upright position so he is kind of off balance. The ref can't encourage illegal fights, even if it is in his defense. If you notice, the ref actually blocks the strike with amazing speed. Before the player hits, head is down and this is done to tuck the chin as well as to increase peripheral vision on the disqualified fighter. OODA loop in action right there.

bobwatters, The Refs job is basically to police the fight. As long as the fight is on he is basically God. He determines when the fight starts, who wins, who is penalized and when the fight ends. He is hired for that authority to keep the sport from degrading to a sick deathmatch. If he abuses his powers he can be sure to lose his job, not to mention any potential legal consequences. You don't fuck with the ref, just like you don't fuck with police or bartenders.

Whats happens to the fighter that attacks a ref? Is there any higher consequence than the disqualification?
@DaveSmith-cp5kj6 жыл бұрын
I've never done it professionally so I have no definite information, but based on other competitions I have overseen, I would think that the disclaimer you sign lists the parameters. Probably you are disqualified from the fight, may be blacklisted from future competitions and your name will probably be passed around and possibly blacklisted everywhere else. Basically ending your career. You may also be open to lawsuits, or any penalty cited in what you sign. Contracts can always be fought in court, but it is rare to win them unless you have some really good reason, or the mainstream media to put pressure on authorities because they are sympathetic to you for some reason. That said, truth be told, anything unexpected is good TV (like how car crashes on NASCAR are exciting) I doubt they would be that harsh unless it became a reoccurring issue.

@DaveSmith-cp5kj6 жыл бұрын
Electricity doesn't work that way. Both fighters would not get tased because electricity takes the shortest path , so the electricity will only arc between the two probes that are shot out. I think a taser is an excellent option especially since the fighters are half naked. Clothing blocking the probes from contacting the skin are one of the biggest failure points LEOs have to deal with. As far as heart problems, a lot of civil rights groups that try to protect criminals try to say the taser is lethal but countless clinical studies have been done on the taser for decades and has shown it to only have the extreme minimum chance of affecting the heart. The biology in why that is the case is a bit beyond a comment, but again, it has to do with electricity taking the shortest path and the probes attaching on the same side of the body, not on opposite sides. A side note, I do find it funny that a lot of activists have tried to dissuade the use of the taser in some departments and as a result officers have no option but to resort to a firearm instead of less than lethal option (which only came about because of the activists decades ago). Pure stupidity on the activist's part.

Doreen Green Montageking has mentioned this fighter before. Was sent to jail (after his mma ventures) and soon after deemed metally unstable. There was some more crazy stuff he did, but they explain it well in the vid. I believe it's the 'Where are they now' vid.

Yeah, Datsik's feud with Aleksander Emelianenko (Fedor's brother) was epic; dude is epic in general. Escaped a mental institute by tearing the fence with his bare hands, KO'd Andrei Arlovski and a bunch of other crazy stuff. Too bad he is a neo nazi...
@69gangstar698 жыл бұрын
Nah, I don't think the fight was even sanctioned so there would be no commission to ban him.
@Cyprienroche8 жыл бұрын
Loved how the ref son'd the blond kid, effortlessly sending him flying across the ring; only for the kid to come back and making everyone fall of the ropes. The teenager was luck that it was just an exhibition boxing bout, and Datsik was drunk and just fucked around instead of hurting his opponent... *Aleks vs Datsik* is still one of my dream fights (for those who followed the stories, the death threats, etc), it would be a sweet co-main event for a *Wanderlei Silva vs Charles "Krazy Horse" Bennett* card. (C'mon Bellator, add *Frank Shamrock vs Ken Shamrock*, and that card would would make history)

Christian Payne the rule was put in place because they don't want fighters to have their eyes poked out. Anyone facing down catching a knee, toe, or heel would have an erupted socket, I know because I was trying to go for a quick triangle choke from the defensive side of my opponent's mount and my heel got him in the eye and shattered my opponent's eye socket and his top eyelid was hanging off. The thought of it got worse when I was cooking an egg to go with my bacon for breakfast and I accidentally scrambled the egg, watching it explode and having it trail down the pan made me have to be careful what I looked at because I couldn't eat for over a week. At least I know the guy's ok he's got a gnarly scar but it didn't stop him, and he can still fight so his dream's not over.
@broken_blood95247 жыл бұрын
The kicking a grounded opponent rule is there because its simply too much force and potentially deadly. A soccer kick like many shown here(the act of kicking the head like a soccer ball of a downed opponent.) Far too much force, nothing to do with eye poking. Similar to a 12-6 elbow, just too harmful. So in reality Silvas kick should have been 100% legal, its no different than an upkick.(downed opponent push kicking or heel kicking someone while they are standing.)
@maciskayu7 жыл бұрын
Derek Cartee that opponent didnt expect that kick coz he knows it was illegal, so he focus on something else. Nothing impressive about that kick, anybody would've done it if that kick were legal. Being Arrogant, showboating and taunting opponents then got KO-ed cold, thats legal and legit and authentic.
