@@xCorvus7x So after watching the clip 2 to three times the key part is when he Google translates. Droplet is legal because it can be activated from hand, however its effect is nullified. You cannot activate cards set on the field against Yuga, however you can activate cards from hand they are just negated. The issue is either the card on DB or in general is poorly translated from the original. The translation makes it seem like you cannot activate any cards that touch the field period, which would lock you out of droplet or imperm or DRNM etc. Edit: wow I just checked masterduelmeta and it has the same mistranslation, I wonder if it works like it's supposed to or not, interesting

I have a good question on a ruling,I play flundereeze and on my opponents turn I manage to tribute summon earthbound immortal rasca can I shuffle itself into the deck to make my opponent discard there card from hand? There's also a field spell on field when I do this it states target 1-3 cards I control and shuffle them into the deck then your opponent discards the amount I shuffled afterwords it gains atk equal to the amount of discards by 1000 each.

Something similar happened to me where one time I was going to a singles duel in rated but then my boyfriend hopped online and we just decided to play together so I quit rating before finding another player but somehow in the middle of my duel with my boyfriend I got put in the rated game chat but I stayed in the duel with my boyfriend and I had no way to get out of the chat I was so confused trying to ask a judge about it and even showed proof but he was incredibly hostile for no reason luckily the duel was canceled and resolved but it was an interesting experience

I have a serious question @distantcoder. Can the drytron ritual card tribute face down monsters? It can't check its level or its type. In addition if it checked in the graveyard then even if you resolved its other effect to return it to the hand then you could always tribute for 2000. With the Cali yuga thing, you activate the spell or trap from your hand which is why you droplets was legal from your hand to the field, it'll just be negated no matter what. I don't see why you say it is worded weirdly, I'm not s judge and I understood his effect

Its wording is confusing, as saying you can activate Spell cards from your hand by placing them on the field but they are negated anyway, when you can't activate the ones that are already on the field, seems pretty weird to me. Usually a card would either negate the effects or prevent the activations, but not a mix of both. Basically the card only having the second part of the effect would in practice be almost always identical (except that you would be able to pay costs), and it would be less confusing. Also, to me Spell cards activated from your hand should be considered to activate on the field, it would make more sense imo, and would make this kind of situation simpler (but that's another debate I guess) . And you could also say that when you get Kali Yuga'd you can also just conceed without trying to understand the subtleties of the card, that would be a point

Pretty sure most cards are not written like that and instead say "cards and effects cannot be activated". This situation it should really say "other cards already on the field, and their effects cannot be activated" so that's why droplet was legal and just gets negated

I think technically, you can activate a spell card from your hand, which places it on the field and is treated as activated on the field.

@@illusion6559 The negation part is to cover things like Cerulean Skyfire which have non-activated effects that Yuga would still block(yes, Skyfire's Negate is non-activated), the activation part is easy enough, it means you're still allowed GY and Hand activations, playing spells onto the field is just a weird case where the activation location is considered hand Its a bit of a weird wording that relies on the idea that a card activates in hand because you declare it while its in hand before its placed on the field so its not the greatest wording

I went to an event when Cyber Harpie Lady was first released. We had to make a deck from packs provided. Someone who I was playing ran out of cards in their deck, I said good game, they grabbed their side deck, and put it in their deck zone. When I asked what he was doing, he said he ran out of cards so he can now use his side deck as his deck. 🤦

Yeah after watching the whole video, its definitely chrome. Its moreso when something is trying to open up a mini window on the screen, which causes it to disappear but the data is sill there. Only way to fix without going into (pun) CODING, is to leave the box and re-open it to see if the code for it loads through properly

Based on how the card reads "other cards and their effects cannot be activated on the field, and other cards' effects on the field are negated." So you cannot activate a card or effect from the field, e.g. set spell/traps, or the effect of a face-up monster or continuous spell/trap. Also, the effects of all cards on the field other than kali are negated, meaning any continuous effects (such as "This card can attack directly." and "Cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects.") are also negated. Because Kali only prevents the activations of cards/ effects on the field, you _can_ activate a spell _from your hand_ , however when a spell card is activated from the hand, it's placed on to the field into one of the spell/trap zones as part of that action; The spell *activates* from the hand, but *resolves* on the field, as such it can be legally activated but the effect will be negated as it is on the field by the time the effect would resolve and is subject to Kali's effect of "other cards' effects on the field are negated." This remains true for handtrap traps like Evenly Matched & Imperm, as they are placed into a spell/trap zone when activated from the hand. So basically, as long as it activates in a position off the field, you can use it, and as long as it doesn't get moved on to the field in the process of activating it, it can resolve, seems to be the broad strokes of that effect.
