To be clear, this is the life of a Dueling Book Judge. Konami Judges must adhere to strict policies and guidelines that prevent them from speaking to players in ways that inflame the situation. They must maintain a constant professional attitude. That being said, a player initiating a confrontation with a Konami Judge (or other players) would also incur penalties for that behavior.
@uncleweirdbeard863 жыл бұрын
Dude, card sharks and trolls are a pain in the butt fir judges and players alike. I had two incidences in tournaments that str8 up ticked me off as well as the judges. Had a troll playing a deck that ran card specifically to activate during periods most Dex won't do, such as during the draw phase. Dude ran three drop offs just so that he could call a judge every time somebody drew a card and added it to their hand. There was another guy that kept calling judge to check the rulings and wording on the dark world cards because they apparently couldn't understand that dark worlds get their effects when they are discarded not just by my opponents effect, but by my own effects as well. Dude even appealed trying desperately to get a free win and I can't remember whether he scooped or was disqualified, but I ended up winning either way

@@kodiak90 Konami? I tought dueling book was a fan thing
@kodiak903 жыл бұрын
@@ausdorian3252 It is, that's what I was pointing out. Dueling Book judges can behave in a more relaxed manner because they aren't tied down by Konami's policies. Unfortunately this can lead to situations where players and judges get in petty fights, which is why there's often bad blood between players and their judges. Konami's policies maintain a professional relationship between the players and judges. Players are required to submit to judge rulings and judges are required to behave respectably.

I won't be drawing until I know this is a legal play even if we have to stay here for 1000 year

Two questions: 1: Is there no penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct? Lots of games have it as an umbrella rule for things like this. 2. Is there no "Fail to Find" rule for cards not in public zones?

In YGO if you don't have a target then you can't activate the card/effect and the gamestate goes back to before you attempted it

@@exzyyd392 So I can RotA or E. Tele to see if my opponent has Ash Blossom , then call a judge to reverse the game state so I have the card back in my hand AND more information about what hand traps my opponent has? I am surprised this doesn't happen more. It's a very easy way to fish for information without spending resources.

I remember before judges were really a thing on Dueling Network. Had to be my own judge. People be crazy..

4:26 Probably should’ve added lying to a judge to his record here. Red claims all ten paused were for gamestate, but he contradicts this just two minutes earlier when he replied to “why did you pause the duel ten times” with “he asked if I had a mental illness, which he has no right to do.” And for anyone thinking he might not have been directly responding to the pause question, well, he admits that he DID pause for that reason when he responded to “that’s not a reason to pause” with “I mean, it kind of is.” Given that, his later claim that all pauses were gameplay related is just a bald-faced lie.

Bro I could never hack it as a judge. Not even because of the fact that idk rulings for shit, but anytime anyone had an attitude it'd be an instant freeze for immaturity lmfao
