I like how realistic you are with the ditl videos. You show your children being normal and not automatically knowing everything. So many youtubers only show their children at their best. It is hard to believe.

I finally found out why I can relate and get so much out of your videos and scheduling. We live in the same city lol. So planning around the heat of the day is something we both have to do. You are such a inspiration with our homeschooling journey starting again. And I'm really starting to get back into wanting to make my health/fitness priority, my excuses of heat, home school, and a large family has been proven wrong following you so THANK YOU!!!

Ashlee, have you done a video where you talk about screen time for your kids? This is something that I really struggle with ESPECIALLY during the school year. We tend to do school, chores, independent reading and THEN screen time. But I still feel like my kiddos (especially my son) wants to spend hours at a time on a device. So frustrating!

I watched a couple videos from you and my big question is: HOW did you raise your kids so that they are NOT complaining about all the home school tasks and the chores. I am a new homeschool mum and the last year my oldest son (7) complained every day (sometimes with tears) about every task (except science) he had to do.
@GraceandGrit6 жыл бұрын
Oleg Schmalz we worked through that with some. Just lots of conversations and heart talks and prayer to realign attitudes. Time periods of unschooling also helped when that was a struggle. I also had consequences for that behavior.

Great video! I love your shorts! What brand and where did you buy them? I usually don't wear shorts, chafing issues, but those look like something that would help with that issue! How's it going with your knee? I hope it is all healed and your doing well! My hip has been giving me problems again, sometimes I wonder if I'll ever be as healed as I want to be, but I'm grateful to be able to at least walk without immense pain even if it means I can never run of lift again. Thanks for sharing you day with us!

Ashlee, I just loove your videos!! You are such an inspiration! We are on the countdown now until we get started! August 6th. I am so excited! I am looking forward to this year and hoping that my son will be challenged enough with the Good and The Beautiful. I have him in a level 2 for Language Arts. He is going into 3rd grade. I hope that he likes it. He hated English last year so I am hoping because they have something new everyday he will like it and stay interested in it. I LOVE your DITL videos!!! How have you liked The Golden Goblet so far? We will be starting that book soon. Because we are starting a whole new Curriculum this year we are starting out slow. We have already been working on Math and spelling ( we are doing AAS) so when we officially start school I am adding Language Arts in and doing a week of that to get use to the curriculum since it is so new to both of us and then I am going to add History the following week we are doing 2 days starting off and then Science the next. That we neither of us gets overwhelmed. Last year we were so overwhelmed with everything being new. I am still trying to figure out my morning basket with him. Since I only have one child. If you have any ideas I would LOVE Your input!!! Thanks again for being such an amazing insperation!!! PS Sorry this is soo long!!
