Becky... Please don't take this the wrong way... YOU ABSOLUTELY CRACK ME UP!! You go ahead & make WHATEVER kinds of videos YOU want to make, & I guarantee I'll watch EVERY. SINGLE. ONE!! (at LEAST once 😁) If I'm having a "less than perfect" day and one of your videos pops up... I stop what I'm doing, watch your video & almost without fail, I feel better! I'm soooo glad I found your channel. Your sincerity is above all, one of the things that sets you apart. If you're new to something, you admit it & just keep on going. You're relaxed & funny in your own unique way & that too makes you fun & easy to watch, so don't change a thing. You just keep on doing you & IF you get any critical, out of line comments, like most KZbinrs seem to get (and talk about), you just ignore them & stay your own course. I like to think you don't get them since I can't recall you ever mentioning any. But, that's probably unrealistic on my part. So make no apologies for yourself, how you choose to do things or why. Just enjoy this time of life you & your husband are in right now & realize that you are smart, quick to learn new things & as "old fashioned" as some of what you do may seem to other people, you are making a really nice life for yourselves & as you get older, you'll look back & think to yourself that all that hard work, planning & sensibility was all worth it!! For me, having raised 3 girls, I'm sure, like I've told you before, that you were obviously raised well & your Mom is surely proud of you. All that said... GREAT VIDEO... LOOKING FORWARD TO MANY, MANY MORE!! Be happy, healthy & successful in everything you do!! 🤗🤗🤗

I love those Boho tops. I have very specific clothing preferences as well, and my Mom always said I should add color (I prefer black, grey and neutrals). I do occasionally add a print or bold color, but I like what I like, and don't care about trends. I agree on the shoes, if they're uncomfortable, they're out, i don't care if it's cute. I seriously have "good" jeans that I've had for years and i detest shopping for clothes for myself. Multiples of the same item in multiple colors is definitely a go for me as well. You had a terrific haul! Lunch with your husband and friend was icing on the cake!

I've only just started watching ur videos in the last 3 weeks and am enjoying them so much!! I watched the one on how to make sour cream and will be making some as it's a staple in my home!! I only realized where u lived in this video and it brought back some sweet memories for me!! Way back when dirt was first discovered (LOL, LOL!!) I used to live in Vancouver, WA, (1980-1982) I attended Clark Community College but also lived in Woodland, WA (1979-1980, u weren't even born then!!)). My moms parents (my grandparents) lived there and I lived with them for a yr before going to college. In order to have spending money while I lived with them, I had two diff jobs, one was picking daffodils, not too bad, just bending over and picking. BTW, I did hate the color yellow for quite awhile but now embrace it!! The second job I had was picking Strawberries. That was knee and backbreaking work!! During the picking season it rained more often than not so not only was I soaked, even with a raincoat and pants, but my knees were in shambles because, unlock daffodils, the berries were ground level, under the leaves. If u weren't on ur knees, u could miss the berries under the leaves and because we got paid by the weight, we wanted every ripe berry we could find!! I was aghast when u stated how much u were paying for a flat!! Trust me, even back 42 yrs ago, we weren't getting paid anywhere what they charged the buyer but $50...holy guacamole batman!! I did, thru that job, learn to appreciate how delicious fresh strawberries were, how much I appreciated those that picked them and have been spoiled ever since!! Thank u for the amazing memories this brought back to me!! I will be watching ur videos regularly, I've got a lot to catch up on!! U'r such a sweet, kind, smart, fun young lady (I'm 59, u'r young!!) Thank u for sharing all ur knowledge with others like urself, every generation needs a good role model, a "if I can u can" type of person, wish I'd had this in my early 20's-30's!! Keep up the good work!! New follower from Alaska!!💖💖💖

@@AcreHomestead u just made my day!! Thank u for responding back, I truly didn't think my comment would be seen by u! U really are an inspiration to so many young folks who see that yes, it's work, but the benefits are beyond measure!! Back when Jesus was a wee boy (LOL, LOL!!), the schools had Home Ec class and Wood Shop/Mechanic classes. I think Home Ec should be a mandatory class not an elective. Too many young folks don't know how to boil water, make hardboiled eggs, balance a bank or checking acct, learn how to write their resumes, etc...Too many don't have any idea what the real world is all about. They are pushed so hard to go to college but not how to pay bills, handle their money, heck, they can't sew on a button for gawds sake!! I'm sorry for the rant but at my age (59), I see too many young adults that are just lost, don't know what to do, what their purpose is, etc...I would love to see practical living classes offered or made mandatory, with young people like urself, doing talks about ur style of living, maybe taking them on a field trip to help plant seeds, nurture them and enjoy the fruits of their labor!! It would be pretty cool to have a patch of ur land dedicated to a project like this!! Because u look younger than ur age, the way u teach folks on ur channel in a sweet, honest, comforting way, I think u'd be relatable to them and they'd be very interested in learning from u!! I know, when would u have time to get that concept available with working full time and homesteading... it's just something I wish I would have known shown while at school. It would have been a less anxious transition for sure!! Okay, now that u only have one leg left as I talked the other one right off, a HUGE Thank U for responding to my comment!! Washington is a beautiful state and I miss living there but Alaska has been my home for 55 of my 59 yrs and it's gotten under my skin!! If u ever get the opportunity to come up here, u should come up in late August and visit the Matanuska Valley (Palmer/Wasilla area) where we have a bunch of "homesteaders" who sell their crops at Farmers Markets all over. In late August we have our State Fair and there is a lot of produce, some grown so large that we've had 400 to 500 lb pumpkins, mind blowing extra large zucchini and squash, etc...I think I'd love it up here!! Best wishes for all ur upcoming videos, I'll be watching u often!! Please, never change what or how u are doing, including making mistakes, saying something silly, whatever, it is who we relate too and ur loyal followers will always be there!! Thank u for sharing ur knowledge and ur awesome self!! 💖💖💖💖👩🦳💖💖💖💖

I just ran across you yesterday, Sept, 28, 2021...and I love what you do. I live in southern Virginia and I can, freeze veggies and make preserves and jams alot like you do. But I don't prep that many meals at one time like you do. I'm retired now so when I prep, it's usually 2 different meals and 2 of those each at a time. I do love soups and since I'm alone now, I do have massive soup making days in the fall. I'm making my grocery list this week for next week. I am including a couple of your recipes for freezer casseroles. You're quite the inspiration for young people your age. Everyone should have a garden and learn canning and freezing. Excellent job. 👏👏👏

I love that you feel that way about your strawberries. I say the same thing about our Mississippi watermelon. There’s just no others that taste like the ones grown in our MS dirt.

I’m in Bend, OR and I thought for the longest time that I didn’t like strawberries until I bought some Oregon strawberries at the farmers market. Turns out I do like them 😂
