I ran out of my blood pressure medication and decided to try avocadoes and garlic and oats in my daily diet. My blood pressure dropped lower than with the meds. I feel a lot better now and don't even have to take the added pills the doctor prescribed to protect my organs from all the pills I'm on. Let food be thy medicine!
@DiTuroProductions5 жыл бұрын
Dietary changes to control diabetes, high blood pressure, and cholesterol is usually preferable to taking prescription meds. Drug makers do not like it, but it is the patient who must endure the side affects. Prescription drugs can save lives, but food is the best medicine.

This video is so so well done. Subscribed half way through. I can eat beans, bananas, peanuts and raw carrots seven days a week literally! I'll add lentil soup to that. Maybe that helps explain why my blood pressure has been the lowest normal for so any years at 90/60. Many people gasp at that but don't wake me up, I am happily healthy especially since in my large family, most of them have up to 200 systolic blood pressure and drop dead from it. I need to watch this video again.

You need some blood pressure for your heart to pump blood around your body. The whole point about blood pressure is that it can be an indication of hardening of your arteries caused by a crap diet, boozing, smoking and being a fat slob or other issues with your heart itself meaning the heart which is a pump is impaired meaning imminent stroke of heart attack.

Lisa I LOVE avocado as well, used to eat one almost every day, till they went from 50 cents to a buck and a quarter just because they can charge as much as they want to for food now. I will not pay more than a buck for an avocado. And I resent even that. I see Walmart has them back at 68 cents, so I am going to start eating them more. In fact I like your whole list of foods there, and would add baby carrots steamed or roasted, can't get enough onions either though they have more than tripled in price, from like 79 cents to $2.98 per pound.

BEST greens have the most potassium of all things, 1 cup equals 1,700 mg.'s it is very bitter yes, but I add them to my salads, or gently steam adding vinegar, s, pepper an a (lil of my favorite. Monk fruit) cuts the bitterness. Yes potatoes w/ skin also avacodo is another great choice. Don't forget magnesium as well, fish n oysters provide zinc to help our immune system, potassium , magnesium, and vit C ( raw bell peppers VC we need it. The corporate food producers do not have our best Health interest at heart......irs all about money... Watch out for carrageenan in many things things proven cancer causer, they add it to ALL NON COW MILKS LIKE ALMOND, CASHEW, BLUE DIAMOND....SO POPULAR IN MARKETS. Suzanne: Tired of supplies? Olive oil is by far the easiest way to keep potassium in balance with salt in the body. I get charlie horses when my potassium gets low, so I consume 1/3 cup dokie oil distributed in my god during each week. If I am in a hurry, I simply drink a couple of tablespoons instead of putting it in food after cooking. Olive oil has a lower combustion point than cooking oils and can cause pan fires as a cooking oil. Also, regular consumption of olive oil is a preventative of arthritis.

Age tends to catch up with us & not able to eat so unhealthily, as when younger ... which has lead me to being 100 lbs overweight. Plus feeling fatigued much of the time, as well as aches/pain in my joints, etc. My diet was atrocious, skipping meals & eating junk food 90% of the time. I'm trying to cut out sugar/salt ladden foods. No fast, prepared, packaged, bakery etc, foods. No canned goods w/high sodium, etc. A lot of changes. A lot less Diet Mt. Dew. I could drink a liter a day. Now I have water 90% of the time. Anyway, now I eat lots of salads, fruits, veggies, etc. but limit my sweets. I'm going to try the red beet greens. Have a blessed day!! 😉
